Just randomly got this in my email /facepalm


Just blowing the dust off the old board and wondering how everyone has been
these past few years.

No, don't worry. I'm not coming back to GS or any other games like that.

I've actually been gone from FFXI for almost two years now as well.

I'm presently spending my time writing, working, playing WoW (Horde for life)
and keeping my fiancee happy. Yes, I'm engaged. Yes, I met her online. Yes,
we're living together. Not that you asked, of course. But this is catching up
for those of you who care.

It took me a long time to deal with things and to find myself. It wasn't until
I was genuinely happy being alone that I found exactly what I needed. I think
it was the universe's way of guiding me where I needed to go.

I'm still a member of the Church of Satan, though I do call myself a Secular
Humanist these days. I campaigned for Obama in 2008 and still support him today
(Go healthcare!) Though politically, I identify as an anarcho-syndicalist and
am much further left than any political candidate in America has ever been
comfortable demonstrating.

While I am still very much heterosexual, I have also taken up the cause of
campaigning for gay rights and have gone so far as to write articles and op-ed
pieces on the subject for my local university's newspaper as well as the Gazette
Journal.

Can't say I have a career as of yet. I seem to be yo-yoing between working as a
computer repair tech, a chef and a freelance writer. It keeps me happy, gives
me different things to do... but my income sucks for the most part.

I can afford rent, WoW and creature comforts though. That's what matters,
right?

Why do people insist on giving me a bad name?

Everyone knows that being a chef is, at best, a part-time gig that only requires about 10-12 hours of work per week.

Almost makes me sad that there isn't as much ridiculous shit on the PC as during the golden era from like 2002 - 2004, when you could almost guarantee being entertained somehow by SeanyDigital, Athaena, and Klaive.
