It's the Price Is Right method of betting. If you're going closest without going over, and everyone else is over in your opinion, pick the lowest possible amount, which, in football, is 2.
Yeah, what Stun and The E said.

Given that this one looks to be going down to the wire (everyone 10-4 or better is still in it), I think it prudent to review the tiebreaker rule from last year: in the event of a tie, the winner is decided by whoever's tiebreaker is closest to the combined score without going over.
http://forum.gsplayers.com/showpost.php?p=530365&postcount=66
Monday night pick total amount of points without going over as a tie breaker.

Yeah, alright. Speaking of, does anyone remember what our rule is for ties? Did we ever have one? I think it should be 0.5 for 1.

Summabitch, between going to the games this weekend and getting ready for a job up in New York I didn't get a chance to make my picks. Christ and I would have had another good week.
So, what are the rules for winning overall. Percentage based on X amount of weeks made or what? Or did I just screw myself by missing a week...
Drinin

10-3 at the moment. I have a feeling I'll be riding 4 losses every week; I'm sure the Vikings will lose now on Monday night to make that happen this week.

So, what are the rules for winning overall. Percentage based on X amount of weeks made or what? Or did I just screw myself by missing a week...When I post recaps, I post percentages for those who meet an arbitrary minimum and raw numbers. I make no claim as to who the "real" winner is, because really we're all winners blah blah blah hippy crap etc.
Damned Broncos and Ravens. Go Green Bay!

Yeah dude keep playing. Almost everyone misses some week, but for the loser who makes it in every week he can say he's the winner by overall victories but you can count percentages, whatever works for you.
PS: Did you go to the Canes and Dolphins game? I just did Canes this week.

I think I'm down 3 and they were the fucking ones I was worried about. THE EVIL BILLS/DOLPHINS and the titans/jags.
Broncos can just eat a dick. Anyways if Tony Homo and Kyley Orton didn't have helmets they would be french kissing. Fuck that game and the cow they rode in on.

Do they pay you to go to those games?
Hell the Bucs games might be free soon.

The PC as a whole is picking at 67.5%, which is totally ridiculous. Can't wait for the inevitable collective 3 for 14 week!
Incredibly high percentage of picks, you're right about the let-down week Latrin, it seems like usually we end up with the top pickers around 60-63 percent and the average in the high 50s. If you had told me I'd be picking 61% and be damn well near the bottom I wouldn't have believed it.

It's still early in the season, where alot of contests are much more clear to choose. I mean, like 99% of the people picked the Colts to take the Jags in week 1, but in week 12-13-14 wtfever, could you say the same?
