Actually he was probably older than 25. He's always been gone so I never really knew him very well, and nobody cared.

It sounds as though you and your brother were estranged, and that you are not especially upset over his death. I guess, to you, it is more like the death of a stranger. However, I am deeply sorry for your mother's loss. No matter what a person may do, no matter how depraved he may become, he is still his mother's child, and she will grieve for him. :(

Aww hon, I'm sorry for your loss even if you feel you are not. I know from personal experience its hard to have emotion for people you hardly know, I have not spoken to my brother and sister for three years, I don't really love them but still if they died I would want to grieve, for my father if anything. I hope your ok and like Myshel said, it is ok to be sad.
