I might buy that potion... I'll just need 6,000 premium points afterwards...
Hopefully when I make up my mind it will still be available.

What are you looking for roughly, I have no idea what these are worth and I am kind of interested in it.

It's worth an x8 enchant, of course you have to be a wizard or then pay one the same cost as the potion to do it for you...as it's going to suck up their major slot for the better part of a year.

Although I think they were getting traded back and forth after EG last year for....16-20 mill? something like that.

I think Gretchen is looking for EG Auction silvers. Although if they drop another set of one of each of those potions this year could see the price hit in the 20's again due to the "Ahhh!" factor.

Total premium points available: 5300

-BID- 23 million Willington SOLD

23 million for 5300, 4000 for a vanilla 8x enchant. Not counting the premium built in for bigger blocks of points, that'd be ~17 mil for 4000 points (assuming you can find them). Yesicj is asking (and getting) 2/4/6 mil for 5/6/7x enchants, so 8mil to the enchanter... although I wouldn't trust this in the hands of anyone but a capped enchanter. ~9 mil. Belnia reported 13-14 days on his last 7x pour, conservatively we'll say 15-16 days a pour (although the scaling from the 6x pour at 8-9 would suggest a much steeper curve, linear being 18-19 days), or about 124 total days where your 7x item is out of your hands. All this without factoring in the failure chance

Mathmatically the value of this potion does not add up to what it should... they've made the potions super rare, yet functionally with all the other factors involved ... I'd say it holds the most value to a lazy wizard (who isn't running any projects), or to someone who wants to hold onto it until they finally get around to reviewing the issues with enhancive enchanting.

Someone suggest they make a thing where two wizards can combine their powers (and both their major enchant slots) to work on a project, so high enchant enhancives become possible.

That may or may not actually be the case. Part of what determines temper times is the number of projects at that particular level going on at the same time. It's sort of destined to make 7x projects take forever. 4-5x's are 5-6 days (or were, last I'd asked around). My first pour on a 5-6x came out at 6-7 days. Those go by quickly enough that, even with a decent volume of projects, they don't overwhelm the temper times.
Assuming a 7-day temper for a 5-6x, that's 7 days for an increase in the number of 5-6x projects that might potentially affect the temper time. 13-14 days for a 6-7x pour, on the other hand, is basically double that amount of time. More time between pours -> more time for other people to start concurrent projects -> longer temper times.
So again, it may or may not be the case that the 8x will take 15-16 days. On the one hand, GS logic (the way they work it, anyway) says that 8x tempers should take longer than 7x ones. On the other hand, there might be all of one concurrent 8x projects that would influence the temper time.

EDIT: I'm not really sure what my point was anymore. It's almost 2 and I'm tired.

Yeah, I had posited that 8x enchants would take an extremely short amount of time (due to no one else doing them).

Unfortunately, that's not the case. From what I've seen/heard, they take roughly the same amount of time as 7x enchants, likely a bit longer. So 4-5 months, give or take.

Not to detract from Gretchen's sale, though! An 8x potion is incredibly useful if you're crafting uber gear from the ground up.

Heh and I was just trying to give the guy a guess on what to bid, Who knew everyone would pull out all that math. I reallly need to stop ignoring my Wizard.

I don't know you have the the rarity clause, and being able to do it yourself, or having to find someone. All these things kind of factor in.

No offense but I never thought they were worth more then 10 mill, not trying to kill Gretch on her sale, but everyone knows I am a cheap ass anyway. But I would think mid-high teens would net it for you.

Heh I just thought about it someone said Lazy wizard, Quick sell it to Krakki! Provided he can pay in installments.

Premium points are very low wait time compared to enchanting, and have zero risk of setback or item loss. Also, you don't need to pay the enchanter an additional amount.

I wouldn't pay more than 8-9m for a bromin potion, since I'll probably still end up paying the enchanter another 5-7 for the actual enchanting. And even that's starting to get into premium point range for the price.

I'd pay about 10M for the potion -- I'd use it to take up 8x full plate -- then buy 6,000 premium points to pad it or wait for a merchant to add flares to it and have it lightened to 40lbs and sell it for like 65-70m

It gets me about
25-30m profit
more if I do the flare route

more or less the potion is more of a collectable item - save it for when you decide to do an auction -- good auction fodder..
