Is there any reason that an elven ranger shouldn't tank discipline? I know it's slow growing and they've got a negative bonus but... should I care?

Planning on being an Archer in GoS, with being able to make imbedables and maybe eventually creating good resistance, Discipline doesn't matter for any of that right?

The smaller exp bucket doesn't concern me.

I read something on the officials the other day that said discipline plays into stalking and hiding.

It didn't say how much, and you didn't say it was important to you. But I felt like trying to be helpful.

Helps you pick, break sheer fear, and defend against some types of magical attacks, but I always tank it for rangers, personally - that and influence.

Apparently I lack reading comprehension ... er... motivation?

614
The amount of mana the new magical item will hold is dependent upon a dedication to the Ranger Spell Circle (http://www.play.net/gs4/info/spells/spelllist.asp?circle=9), the Mana Control, Spiritual (http://www.play.net/gs4/info/skills.asp#manashare) skill, and the Discipline (http://www.play.net/gs4/info/stats.asp#discipline) and Intuition (http://www.play.net/gs4/info/stats.asp#intuition) stat bonuses.

615
Success of the spell is based on the ranger's relative level, Discipline (http://www.play.net/gs4/info/stats.asp#discipline) and Influence (http://www.play.net/gs4/info/stats.asp#influence) stat bonuses, and dedication to the Ranger spell circle.

620
Aura, Discipline, and Wisdom stat bonuses will play a part, though not equal ones, in this spell.

Any rangers with tanked Discipline noticing they can't make 80 mana rods or 50 mana anklets? If I couldn't make up for it with the other skills/stats then I'd have to re-adjust.

I've never really noticed a difference with 615. As far as imbuing goes, SMC is WAAAY more important. 24 ranks of that and you'll be good to make rods on most casts. Summoning lore can increase the amount of mana they hold, too. As for 620, Blessings lore is really the only important thing.

All told, though, if you ever need to use 614 or 620 and you think your discipline is too low, just use 650 to boost your DIS.

I tanked DIS and INF too, with both of my half-elf rangers.
