I'm a little worried that he has just tried to remake the first flick (which I love) with a slightly changed cast and more money. Either way I will definitely be seeing it opening night in theatres.

Duffy is a fucking tool bag. While the status of Boondock Saints as a good film is debatable, it can't be denied that the movie has a cult status.

I suspect that the fan base may make this movie a success but seriously doubt that this sequel will be worth a shit.

Typed this reply before I watched the trailer.

This movie is going to be a pile of trash.

The corny playing up of the brothers being Irish and being OH SO WITTY!, the persistent symbolism of 'dual' objects, and no Willem Dafoe are all indicators that this is one to flush down the shitter.

I'm not sure I want to see it. I love Boondock Saints. The only two movies that did well roughly ten years apart are Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. I can't imagine All Saints Day living up to the entertainment of the first one. I have a feeling watching the second one will taint the first one. Guess I'll wait for the critics.

You know what i love about boondock saints?

people i know that jizzed all over themselves for it when it first came out now downplay it as mediocre after it become more popular. It's pretty funny.

I'm diggin the armed female replacement of Dafoe. Although...if she cant act or properly fire a gun I might change my mind about her. I dunno. Depends on the shoes she wears. They look hot. Those are bonus points if they are worth what they look. Firing a semi automatic handgun in expensive stilletos aint no joke.

Watched this today. Same response as above: not terrible, but pretty campy.

If you hadn't seen the first one, you'd probably think it was garbage. If you have seen the first one, you'd probably think someone just pooped out a script to capitalize on the cult success of the first movie. I'll watch it again, but I have a pretty high tolerance for cheesy things. It was still fun seeing the brothers in action again, and the Mexican was amusing. Rita from Dexter (Julie Benz) was cute as the kick-ass female, but... meh.

Just watched it last night with my gf, who hadn't seen #1. It was fun, but the acting and editing were so-so, and the movie used the same jokes and basic plot as the first one. It should have been called, "Boondock Saints II: Let's Show You How Badass We Are Again."
