Can coyotes and dogs interbreed? It looks like some kind of hybrid.

Apparently, the one I am thinking of was just a coyote with a severe case of the mange.

Coyotes (canis latrans) and "dogs" (canis lupus familiaris) can interbreed, yeah. You see a lot of it out in West Texas especially. The offspring are smart as hell too, and really good at raiding garbage.

It is very obviously a coyote halfbreed with mange. Poor thing. :(
