The double cartridge mountain climbing game was even shorter I think.

Spike's Peak / Ghost Manor. Ghost Manor was pretty cool from what I remember. Spike's Peak just pissed you off on level 2.

I was in the same boat as you about ET. I played it all the time when I was like 8-10, but I remember nevering knowing wtf I was doing. And then I played it again when I was like 18, and I realized it was total fucking queershit.

I could never fucking beat this game. I didn't even know how to beat it or if beating it was even possible.

It was fun though and looked awesome for a 2600 game.

I wish they'd make a modern take on this game. I miss the disorientation, especially during pvp fights. Also the music rocked for DOS junk.

That's pretty awesome. Both Doom and Descent were kickass. Hell, when I first got Doom, I didn't have a sound card. I was playing my uncle one day and he started kicking my ass... he called me after cause he'd installed a soundblaster and cranked it up so I could hear him running around shootin shit in the background. Fuckin cheater. I do not miss the days of every action resulting in the same beep.

I didn't have a sound card when I first got Doom either. Or King's Quest, Police Quest 3, Conquests of the Longbow, etc.

Shit was amazing after I got one I was all like HOLY FUCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!

I always thought it was the coolest shit ever in 6 how later in the game you go to the same place you go on the game over screen. Except you're not dead. The clip at 20:12 is what plays when I die in game.

This game was badass too. All that old Sierra shit was.

Ultima VII was such an awesome game. When it first came out I sunk untold hours into it.
