1993 - Development of GSIV (later renamed to DragonRealms) begins.

Thank. Fucking. God.

GS > DR. No diggity doubt.

Yeah, all that exciting experience you get by whittling sticks.

I tried it when it was free. Man, it was a pain finding someone to "teach" you your skills. Don't know if that's changed but it was a pain. The platinum/gold/silver/bronze coins I liked though, but it would likely have issues being implimented here in GS4, ie. "Someone stole 3 platinum coins from me!"(300k)

haha yeah the stick thing sucks, before I worked out it would be a good idea to make a script I sat typing it out over and over for fucking ages. Totally pointless, the whole game is to fucking complicated!

DR2 is in the works, isn't it? There any GS folks out there that also play DR?

They don't have promissary notes either, so think about the massive amount of platinum and gold coins carried around when a merchant is in town.

<<DR2 is in the works, isn't it?>>

Every Simu game (with the possible exception of CyberStrike) got upgraded, not just GS.

I actually like the concept of the trader system in DR. I wish GS had something like it.

I've played a good 2 hours in that game, I was in the rogue guild, already, and was swimming in the sewer.

Yes, it sucked, really bad.
