The 1x dodge for an empath was probably an extraordinary amount of TPs.

5,050,000 for the dodging
and roughly 3.37m for the MOC
So he spent all the EXP that it takes to cap just to get that much

the complete lack of lores is a little surprising though. But it's pretty incredible to think that, basically, it's an empath with nothing left to train except relatively cheap magic skills if you wanted to pick up from here instead of fixskilling. (not to mention the 1000 free ptps...jesus)

I think he was just hardcore GS3 and hated the new lores. His 202 MMC made his 1106 hit hard and 240 SMC would make a huge CS after 240 spirit slayer.

Still would it kill him to get 50 transformation lore for faster healing and 1 more 1150 use per day. Or 150 summoning lore to boost 1115 Wither. He ran through OTF well but you need wither for undead in Nelemar and I assume bolt 111 and 1110 for GWE's.

He used 515 + 240 and mana/spirit batteries, and Shattered everything to death in seconds IIRC. There just wasn't a need to optimize at that point.

515 combined with 240 doesn't work, at least now. Maybe it did at one point.

Plus his absurd ability to MOC a construct's shielding down and kill the anti-pures. I'm pretty sad to see him go.
he is the best in the game, I have zero lores and pawn in Nelemar or otf...He is the best of the best, am very sad to see him go

One hell of a guy. I'm also a capped empath with 0 lores; I find them unnecessary for just pure hunting too.

Make them run out of HPs.

I don't know much about empaths but I think that is there weakness is there spells don't hit everything. Hard to make them run out of HP if you can't even hit them.

Either way, making a monster run out of HPs will always kill it. :club:
For what it's worth, I don't even bother with GWE's. Impossible to ward, and not worth the time and mana to bolt them to death.
I'd guess the best way for an empath is to bolt them down, but since this guy has no spell aim, he'll have to figure out some other way to make it run out of HPs.
That, or goatse them.

Empaths can manage a pretty sick Melee AS. Said hunter used it as kitsun stated by blowing through constructs with fist scythes. I'm sure he could do the same to GWE's.

Sitting in front of a contruct in RT is different then sitting in front of a GWE though. Mstriking on the second floor would be certain death.

If an Empath decided to forgo on CS entirely and only trained a few spells, can you get redux? I imagine an empath with this much exp could get some crazy redux.
It'd be a cool thing to try out (would obviously require training in some armor use too...)

I have no problem with GWE, 240 & 1110 do the trick quickly.

A capped halfing empath should be taking advantage of 1110 for sure. His setup was for OTF of course. But if he wanted to dominate Nelemar he should do 1110 and get a ton of mana.

Right but if you don't have access to a mage slave then lores would be pretty helpful. I would have at least gotten manipulation lore for the insta-death even if it's only 5% per 100 ranks.

The thing is you need the spell ranks to get the high melee AS, so a redux build wouldn't really work after a short while. However, Polepaths and Archerpaths certainly exist. Empaths will often go as high as chain based armors. Their hindrance tables are laughably low, and they can cast their primary circle through any injury.

I predict that empaths won't keep that monstrous melee AS forever. They're on par, or better than rangers in terms of raw AS while still getting crazy CS-based spells. The reason Empathic Focus and Intensity came about was the assumption that eventually empaths would lose Bravery and Heroism when they got Minor Mental. Now that plan is kaput, so something has to give.

I know he did; that's not the point.
The point is that the buyer probably won't, thus the suggestion for lores.

I hope they spend time on something more imporant. How many empaths swing? Not very many.

I would contend that the swinging empath option is, among those who actually hunt and don't just sit around and heal, quite popular.

how does manipulation lore actually work with bone shatter? any specific info on x amount of ranks = y% of instant deathcrit?
never noticed much difference between 0 and 50 ranks myself.

What is a GWE?
Greater Water Elemental (~lvl 105) hardest critter in the game IMO. There located in nelemar temple on Teras.

Someone just did some research on the officials and i wanna say they were fully trained at cap w/ manip lore and saw like 15% increase in instadeath?
something like that.

15% chance of insta-death means you completely blow out a creature one in every 7 casts. Even if you just got a 101 endroll. That is pretty significant.

I wish to christ bards has access to a spell that would insta-kill. That seems like such a perfect use of post-cap TPs.

Er, how often is 1030 NOT an instant kill, exactly? :P
Yes, I realize you're referring to the non-warding margin dependent, if-you-hit-them-they-die kind, but regardless I don't think you get to complain. Or wish. However that works out.

Grimswarm have ridiculous padding, about 30% of the time I don't crit kill them if it hits a vital location.
Then there's the times I don't hit a vital location. :(
Also, 1106 has two crits so it has 2x the chance to crit-kill compared to 1030.
