One of the New Orleans talk radio guys is always talking about this Chinese buffet in (or close to, I don't remember) New Orleans and how badass it is, but will never say the name of the place.

He posted this pic, but blurred out the name. Anyone happen to recognize it so I can go destroy their profits like those fat chicks in West Virginia?

Can't you check the yellow pages or something? Or google chinese buffet in New Orleans? Then look for pics or a website or something.

I tried www.anywho.com Got a few that came up with Buffet as the last word in their name. Didn't see any pics and only one had a website.

I don't eat chinese so I have no idea. That looks like it's a part of the Esplanade Mall though so maybe you can narrow your search to there.

I searched for it like that aswell. Its not Super Asian Buffet, the building looks different. Couldn't find pics for other, but I looked on a couple of their websites, mostly looking for that symbol. No dice.

Did a little searching and I cant find any pictures but there are only a few Chinese "buffets" in NO.

Possible:
Empire Chinese Buffet. Covington: 1633 N. Causeway Blvd. 985-951-8686.
Mandarin House Chinese Buffet. Metairie: 3501 Severn Ave. 779-0888.

Ruled Out:
Asian Super Buffet. Kenner: 3900 Williams Blvd. 712-0899.
King Buffet. Metairie: 601 Veterans Memorial Blvd. 837-4383.


Ive also ruled out King Buffet due to the following picture that I found in a search for "New Orleans" +"Chinese Buffet"

How about Jumbo Buffet at 3550 Williams BLVD, in Kenner.

I can't get a good picture of it.

The thing about the sign is that it wouldn't be blurred if the last part had chinese buffet. I would guess that the buffet would consist of two words both with around the same amount of letters. Jumbo Buffet would fit this.

Mandarin House beats any other chinese Buffet in New Orleans hands down.

And I haven't even been there in 12 years.

However, for the purposes of analysis I will say that whatever buffet is in that picture is in a strip mall on the back side of a cinema, Wal Mart, or Lowes or other warehousy type place given the reflection in the mirrored glass.

Did a bunch of googling earlier and checked all the places posted in this thread. Couldn't get a good view at any of them due to random shit like trucks and bushes being in the way. Jumbo Buffet did seem the most likely one out of the bunch, but still almost impossible to tell on the map pics.

Talk show host's name is John Osterlind on 99.5 WRNO.

Check 'La Jumbo' Chinese Buffet.

The maps on bing give a bird's eye perspective - different from the standard aerial. Might help you see the signs.
