Shadow Complex: Awesome, SOTN/Metroid style XBLA game.

Shadow Complex came out today! It's been receiving rave views (90/100 on metacritic), won a bunch of this year's E3 awards from various places. Costs 1,200 points ($15) on Xbox Live Arcade.

It's a 2.5D sidescroller, "heavily influenced" by Castlevania: SOTN and Super Metroid. I'm buying it when I get home.

Managed to get on the top 100 (#71, I think) of some of the leaderboards in the challenge packs.. I wonder how long that'll last. >.>

Playing the story now. Parts of it are kind of cheesy, but overall I'm liking it. Voice acting is good--the main character is voiced by the same guy who played Drake in Uncharted and Desmond (Altaïr's descendant) from Assassin's Creed.

I thought he seemed a lot like Drake for some reason. I picked it up last night and played it for awhile. Of course I've noticed that there are (at least in the beginning) quite a few paths to get to the same point. I feel like I'm missing something. think I'm going to end up just playing through the first round and then start looking for extras the second play through. I feel kind of like I'm playing flashback, although I think that's just because I have a gun and there's those robot things that explode.
