Would you take it? Or decline to be ignorant of it?
I gotta get back to work, discuss it among yourselves.

Ignorance is bliss on this occasion.

I'd like to know, as just in Big Fish, I'd know everything up until that point couldn't kill me.

1. Way to make a totally unoriginal thread.
2. Way to make a totally unoriginal thread.
End.

Yeah, I'd like to know.

I thought about this, but you know...
Just because you can't die, doesn't mean that you won't get hurt doing something you wouldn't normally do and say, end up paralyzed, or disabled in some other way.

Well that depends really. If I saw myself dying in my bed, I'd be a little less happy to walk across a road without looking left and right. But if it was something a little more descriptive...

I think I said I'd like to know in the original thread.
I wouldn't. Just like if I were going to kill myself, I wouldn't think about it. I'd much rather die not knowing I'm dying, or as quickly as possible. It's not like you're going to regret it with your skeleton powers.

I'd definitely want to know.
I'd know there were no financial worries beyond a certain point so I can plan accordingly.
I'd be certain to make arrangements for any pets or other dependants.
I'd be certain to tie up any loose ends and do anything I definitely wanted to do.
Sign me up for knowing. I don't find the idea of death at all scary or something to dread.

There is no way I want to know. Its why I fear cancer and stuff like that. I'd hate to be told I had like 6 months to live etc. Ignorance, in this instance is most deffinitely bliss.

I would wish to know. Like Raven, there are things I would like to see to before I leave this plane. I have no fear of death, but would like to leave those close to me in the best possible circumstances. There might also be a thing or two I would like to do or see before I embark upon that final earthly journey. :)

This should sum up my view:
(17:18:02) Rachel Pwnz: People who are like, "I want to do this before I die" and shit are dumb.
(17:18:05) Rachel Pwnz: You'll be fucking dead.
(17:18:07) Rachel Pwnz: You won't care.
(17:18:15) Zentoph: ya

I also think knowing would make a death bed confession (and thus escape from the clutches of hell) easier.

For those of us who do not believe in hell, Artha, the point is moot. :D

No way would I want to know.. I wouldn't be able to make financial plans or anything I'd be counting down the days, it would suck.

I don't understand the "I would want to know so I can plan accordingly" or the "I would want to know so I can do all the things I want to do before then" bit.
If you're not living your life like that now, you never will be.
Namely: Go do that now. If every day is your best, you'll always die knowing you went out on top.
On that note, I would never want to know. The thing would hang over you like a fucking pall. I'm too laid back to want to rush around like an idiot before I died. Chances are, if I knew, I'd become: a) overly hyperactive, trying to do everything, or b) overly lazy, with a "who gives a fuck" attitude, as the day drew near. And that's not me, and if there's one thing I would want, it would be to be myself when I died.

You're making more out of that bit that it deserves.
Simply put, if you know you don't need to save up for a future that's not going to arrive, you can blow a bunch of money on things that are wasteful. Least that's what I meant.

You misusderstand, TheE. I have lived a very fortunate life. I have seen much of the world, and done a lot of things that others may never have the chance to do. I consider myself a very, very lucky individual.
However, if I knew I was going to die at a precise time, I might like to see Africa again, or the Swiss Alps, or my favorite little inn in the Black Forest. Right now, I am saving those return visits for a future time. The only thing that would change would be that the "future time" might be a bit earlier. :)
Other than that, the knowledge would not change my life much. I am happy the way things are.

You would really live out the last of your days killing people? That's sad.
I would want to know for basically the same reasons as Raven. I'd quit my job and travel.

I basically live each day like it would be the last. I spend a lot of time on here but that's what I enjoy doing. It wouldn't matter if I knew when I was going to die or not. I've came pretty close a time or two meeting my maker. I'd rather not know than worry about how to arrange everything before I go.

I didn't even read what you wrote, Bob. Yes, I would want to know.

I think I'd like to know, so I can prepare my children for the realization that their father might not be around forever. I would accept under the condition I could tell no one else, so not to worry anyone of when I'm gone. It means alot to me that my kids grow up strong and able to take care of themselves, I just hope before I die, they understand the meaning of life as they can.
Also, I didn't know that this was a previous topic, so fist yourself Bob. People's opinions change in time as well, so maybe things in life have changed their mind.

No.
It's like my Sophomore douchebag.. I mean English teacher said (which has already been expressed by Esch, but whatever):
"If you had one hour to live and could make one phone call, who would you call?
What would say?
What are you waiting for?"
I take back that douchebag thing, he was an alright guy when he wasn't being a dick. And he did have a hot wife (even though she was like from Oregon).
I would want to know definitely (note the spelling Bob). But I would also want to know how I was going to kick the bucket. That way if it is a sudden violent end I can load up on all sorts of pain killers in advance. It's not the end that frightens me it's the suffering I fear.
