View Full Version : Spellup auto fries nerves when casting 618
Anyone know why it does this? I've done a psinet scan and restarted and it still will fry my nerves by casting mobiles with not enough mana for the amount of ranks I have.

I've had the same problem. I've had to stop spellup as I reach mobiles and do it myself.

Yep. It's a bug with the new psinet. Jamus knows about it but hasn't fixed it yet. Just cast your 618 first, then spellup auto.

[LNet]-You: Hey, SpiffyWaggle is frying my nerves when I cast 618 [9:15pm]
[LNet]-Spiffy: Oh dam, rlly? [9:17pm]
[LNet]-Spiffy: K, redownload it, should be good. [9:18pm]
[LNet]-You: Kewl meng, thanx. [9:18pm]
[LNet]-Spiffy: NP Dawg! [9:18pm]
Not that Spiffy's code would ever sully itself with something as every-day and trivial as a bug, but just as an example...
Shit, worse comes to worse:

[LNet]-Spiffy: Dam, looks like a spell-list.xml issue, TILLMEN! [9:18pm]
[LNet]-Tillmen: fixed, ;updater update [9:19pm]
[LNet]-You: Kewl meng, thanx. [9:19pm]
[LNet]-Tillmen: Well ya know I do what I do, when I do what I do [9:19pm]
Not that Tillmen's code would ever demean itself with as something as common as bugs...

I realize you made up that chat but it's pretty damn accurate.

I concur. Shit gets fixed pronto, like within minutes with Lich. And I thank you for such!

It's not a bug as far as I know. It's common for some spells, like mobility, to infuse more mana on a cast. Happens a lot with sorcerer spells too.

Anything that fries your nerves is considered a bug as far as I'm concerned.

Eh. I understand that the bug is that it's not catching it before it fries a nerve. I'm just saying why the spell costs and how Psinet doesn't allocate for it.
So.. okie dokie.

Psinet used to account for it just fine. It somehow got dropped with the newest update.

Eh, seems like there is a lot going on with the last update. Does Jamus still work on it? It's been awhile since I've been around to see what the trend is.
