You see Ulstram Chanerser the Elven Prophet.
He is of an undeterminable age, has long, straight white hair, pointed ears, and fair skin.
He has jagged scars marring his face where his eyes should be.
He is in good shape.
He is holding an ebonwood staff inlaid with slivers of ivory in his left hand.
He is wearing a slender white-gold circlet inlaid with a cabochon onyx, a black velvet cloak trimmed with golden knotwork, a lustrous deep golden amulet, a fine silver chain bearing a gold-inlaid onyx key, some long flowing white velvet robes embroidered with golden spirals, a supple white leather pouch and a pair of white leather sandals.

Whi is this dude . . and why is everyone throwing themselves at his feet . .
If there is one thing I cant stand it is how everyone starts to RP all of a sudden and Lick the dudes ass.
I bet the person playing the 'important' character gets a kick out of all of them . . . . ::shudder::

He's the leader of the "army" against the Dark Alliance. Yes, he's a GM.

He is the prophet of Lorminstra in the Griffin Sword Saga. The one that fought with Morvule (the Luukosian priest) the battle that broke the Griffin Sword.

Edited to fix spelling take out sentence.

Well he is gone now . . but he did leave us with an incredibly vague warning of impending doom.

Roleplay in GS4 is dumb. Sorry but it's true.

Another little ray of sunshine to brighten our day. At least he apologized.

I liked Quiet Lurker Robot better when he/she/it was quietly lurking. You have shit to add. Shut it.

As to why everyone kissed his ass, I see it as how people fawn all over the pope. Religion will tend to make you soft...unless there is bondage involved.

Roleplay is what YOU make it. If its dumb, then take a look at yourself.

Shut it would be preferable.

To some of us it is obvious who he is.

Per topic ...

Generally you will see people throwing themselves at GM run characters the moment it becomes common knowledge that the controlling entity is Simu brand. Characters you have only seen in zombie states or OOC will suddenly see the RP light when it's official role-play.

Is there a *good* prophet?

03-04-2004, 11:43 AM
Wouldn't happen to know the vague statement, would you?

Fraidycat
03-04-2004, 11:48 AM
Well . . I saw a nice example of the Zombie to first class roleplayer thing . .
The thing I cant stand to see most is the way they come out with stuff like . . . . " Oh old and mighty one, what is thy destiny and how may I look up to you so obviously in a more sickening way"
While throwing themselves to thier knees . . . while the GM just stands there acting like a proud dog being preened by his subjects . . ::pant::
Roleplay is not what you make it . . Roleplay is having the stomach to sit by and watch all these fucks do this and trying to weed out the ones who are for real , or TRUE RPers if you will.

Pity the poor GM. He/she has to do that on a continuous basis, wherever he/she goes. Sorting the wheat from the chaff of GS roleplayers has to be an act of heroism. If I had to put up with some of the dreck that flows from some of those idiots, the good guy would suddenly have an epiphany and kill everybody in sight. :D

Most are in the dark....

This quest has been going on for two years ( WAAAYYY to long)

When it started it included large groups of folks from different backgrounds in game and looked to be cool...

Little by little it narrowed down to a small and yes I will say it elite group...

I dropped out after being cut off in Solhaven when it was attacked over a year ago and picked back up with my Golden hawk in Vaalor ( who I had a hoot with)

Now thats its back in Solhaven...

I think it was cool to include some outsiders and newer folks as was recently done with the poisonings and the whole Niima cleric thing..

There is a web site with everything up til this point somewhere...

But just be aware Solhaven is about to get stomped on again and those who live there get smothered by the Uber cool quest rp'ers... and the critters of evil...

I got involved again to try and head this off and keep as many included as I can...

no matter my rogue defends Solhaven and
its the only way she would ever get involved again...

Not being very helpful here but just wanted you to know that getting information is like pulling teeth from a newborn...

keep your eyes open and i'll try and find the site if you want to get up to date..

J

Try Googling for Griffin Sword Saga, Fraidy. I am sure there is some information about on the quest. That might help you get up to speed on an ongoing event.

Although I do not necessarily advocate NPC-chasing, for relatively new people it can help to highlight names like "Ulstram". When you see him sign on, find him if you can and watch what's going on for a bit. If you are interested in becoming part of it you can then get involved. Then, you will be one of "those in the know". :D

That isn't true. If you seek to join the quest right during an invasion, then yes, it would be hard to get notice. If you are truly interested in joining, you would seek people other then when the GMs are involved. That's what I did, and I am loving the role-play. If you are -truly- having troubles, IM me and we can talk, heh.

By the way, the website I believe Amaron was referring to is http://gs4news.com/ On the right navigation bar, click "Griffin Sword Saga."

Not going to read the previous posts because I'm too cool..

Ulstram was the leader of the Dark Alliance army that invaded the Landing and burnt it down and stuff and it was cool and I hugged him and he gave me a spirit death.

Some people pay attention to plot, and then some people call it "sucking up" when anyone else does. It's okay, not to worry. Just ignore it and go back to hunting.

Mr / Miss Verile, youll have to understand that my life is mainly made up of working far too hard to spend enough time learning all that.
I didnt call anyone who ''knows'' whats going on a ''suckup'' . . I simply stated that some just stare at the floor all day and then instantly stick to the ass of a GM character. . . Ive seen it happen quite a lot of times.

<BTW> If what you said wasnt meant to be harsh on me then take this reply the same way.
