Top 3 nerdiest things about you. Playing a text based fantasy online game doesn't count.
ME:
1. Can quote princess bride line for line
2. Majored in math
3. dropped 600 bucks on a schacht "lady bug" spinning wheel so that I could spin the fur I furminate from my cats and dog into yarn, and just finished plying my first cat/dog hair bobbin.

I don't know how to knit, that would be gay. If you send me pet hair, I will spin it into yarn for you on my Lady Bug.
I guess I can play. Uh.
1. I have a wall of unopened cherry action figures.
2. I played the oboe in middle school and high school, among other things. Hard to be nerdier than the oboe. Bassoon has a sort of eccentric cache. Anything that can be played in a ska band has the potential for cool. Maybe tuba. MAYBE.
3. I can tell you the secret superhero origins of most Marvel heroes and some DC. I have a 250GB hard drive on my laptop and 97GB of that is comic books and manga. Yes, I have an addiction. I'm well aware.

As it happens, I have access to all sorts of pet hair and it will be off a freshly washed, totally clean dog. What breed to you prefer?

I have only been spinning for about ten days. Longer the hair, the easier, but I spun my short-haired cat so....
Also, to be fair, my yarn is better described as lumpy string that goes from fat to thread-like. I just don't want to get your hopes up.

2. I have a collection of pewter dragon and wizard figurines sitting on top of my desk (in my defense, i got them all when i was much younger, and i just kinda still have them...mostly because they are bad ass)
3. For fun, my friends and I will watch bad b movies...i'm sober during this.

Ok, I win.. I read Oboe as Obi (Wan) the first time and was like, wtf, you did star wars as your school play?!
No, but that would have been awesome. I wasn't actually in drama... I was in theater tech. =\ I built the sets but was too shy and quiet to get up on the stage more than once.

1. I forget where I am and actually say "L O L" out loud at places.
2. My Magic the Gathering collection spans six monster card boxes (approximately 5,000 cards in each for the sorted portion, on top of misc boxes with random cards) majority of it is sorted in two playsets +1, in alphabetical order by color. I've also got a full set of Power 9, playsets of all the dual lands, foil versions of all the fetchlands, playsets of mana drains, etc that I could probably sell to buy a new car and computer.
3. My comic collection is stuffed in random niches all over my home =/
4. I've got a small statue of Etna from Disgaea, a collection of Batman figurines, a little Togepi plush, a Turtwig and Eevee pokemon battle minis, Final Fantasy minis, a Leo from VGCats plush, a hamtaro plush and a Zeke from CTRL+ALT+DEl on my desk
5. I play D&D. I own a copy of the Army of Darkness roleplaying game rules book.

Finally, someone I can talk to that might appreciate my invasion block threshold deck with mystic enforcer, nimble mongoose, krosan beast, nantuko cultivator, and the whole series of "eggs" that were 2 colorless + sac to draw a card and get 2 colored mana. Or my krak-clan ironworks + mycosynth lattice + door to nothingness combo deck that i once used to kill 3 players IN ONE TURN.
I liked that block....

1. Doctor who sucks due to an accident, learned magic through some old guy, blah blah Soul gem blah.
2. I don't remember much about him except that he's in Spiderman every so often. Mysterious!
3. Prisoner turned experiment.. government? Escaped turned hero. Likes him some sweet, sweet white chocolate.

Let's put this to the test, no looking. 1. Dr. Strange 2. Moon Knight 3. Luke Cage
Dr Strange - Fell from fame as a medical doctor, became an alcoholic and back alley physician .... sought out the Ancient one to cure his damaged hands.
Moon Knight - Placed, near death or dead, at the foot of or alter of Khonshu ... revived as the Moon Knight. Also he's a Jew, also the series last artist was Stephen Platt (Splatt) who ranks up there as one of my favorites.
Cage - I think was along the same process, or evolution of, the super soldier stuff. Not exactly like Cap ... but the same program.
1. After selling the bulk of my comic collection several years ago, I still have over 5,000 comics bagged and boarded. The collection includes every X-men title in full .... except for issues 1-5, 7-11 of the original series. Iron Man 113-332. Several mini-series and graphic novels ... and the UK Cap Britain mags.
2. I have a Devo hat desk lamp.
3. I know most John Hughes 80's movies word for word.
.
.
.
4. I have orignal The Crow promo posters from Kitchen Sink press that I actually had signed by O'Barr at an Indianapolis converntion ... and then purchased an autographed cd commentary to play with the movie (vhs) even though DVDs were becoming common place. I also went nuts and had (bought shit to be signed) by Texeria, Splatt, Quesada, Miller, Lee, Silvestri, Portacio, Larsen, the better known Lee, Keown, Kieth ... everything is still on the wall in my "den" and the wife is still not happy about the cash I dopped doing it.
5. I still have D&D sets in their boxes.
If thats the case then I guess I lose this contest. Im a closet nerd, most of my friends dont even know I play GS.
You went to a GS gathering, that's pretty nerdy!
1) I LARPed for about four years.
2) I've cosplayed (Deedlit or Misato or Sailor Saturn, anyone? lolz), and dressed up in "period" attire at Simucon 2008.
3) I play D&D every Wednesday night and have played tabletop RPGs (D&D, World of Darkness, Wheel of Time mainly) for ten years. I own D&D books from 2e to 4e, and still have some TSR stuff, like my dice bag.
4) I have a Star Wars tattoo.
5) Jessa (my name) is an obscure character from Star Wars, which I am very proud of.
6) I've been to four GS gatherings, only one of which was an official Con. I've met GRAYSALIN AND ATHEANA irl. And Tamral. ;)
7) I collect purple/otherwise girly polyhedral dice sets.
I could keep going....
Hmm...
1. I played D&D and had the Crown Royal bag for my dice.
2. I collected comic books.
3. I went as Spock one year for Halloween.
Bonus: My mom made me a kick ass Batman costume when I was around 8 or 9. Only problem was the cape was a little too long so when anyone was walking behind me they would step on it and jerk my head back.

DO NOT go with the kids and wife and yourself all dressed in pumpkin outfits.
WORSE FUCKING HALLOWEEN ever. Ugh women. It's all good as it turned into drunken pumpkin halloween night after she went home with the kids.

1. I still read the message boards of a game that I haven't played in nearly 18 months.
2. I played clarinet in middle school. (quit after one year when I realized playing baseball was more fun)
3. I'm about to have 4 level 80's in WoW.
4. I run a budget office responsible for nearly $275M.
5. I've spent about $3,000 this summer in strip clubs because my WIFE likes to go.

Some more stuff to add:
1. I have plushies of microbes and viruses.
2. I have a pretty extensive dice collection
3. I played D&D for most of my childhood and only stopped recently because I cannot get a group together to play it.
4. I not only played GS but I wrote stories/fiction about my characters
5. I write "fan fiction" based in universes some of my favorite books are set in, not for other people to read but because sometimes I'm left yearning and wanting to know 'what's next'. So I make it up myself.
6. I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year and my novel theme is dystopian sci-fi.
7. I know how to sword fight, Medieval French Martial Arts style. I took classes for a year.
8. I've won an archery competition.
9. I can look at most pieces of art and tell you what it's classified as, and many times can also tell you the artist's name if not the name of the piece (this doesn't apply so much to modern art but rather everything up to surrealism).

Hm, I can make badassery into nerdity again.
I took classical fencing for a couple of years as well. If you've ever played any Ultima games, then you probably recognize the name of my teacher, Iolo. Lord British was a friend of his and based the recurring character Iolo off of my teacher. That's right. I learned swordplay from a video game character.

My glasses might be called many things but they are definately not hot.

Last writing class I took the teacher shuddered and turned pale when I said I'm a King fan. Then she wanted us to bring in a small sample of the author whose style we most enjoy. I read the opening paragraph to "The Body" and she practically had an orgasm listening to it. She made me read it again for the class and about pissed herself when I told her King wrote it.

I have this far-fetched idea to make a set of scale.
But to multiply the geekiness, I wanna do it with anodized, colored scales. Red, White, and Blue. Large blue scales on top, white star in the middle, Red and white stripes on the bottom in small scales. Like Captain America's scale shirt.
It would be fucking expensive, for what it is. And it would take forever. *shrug*
