Alarke says, "Ready when you are."
>
Rarr hugs Alarke, who wraps her in a warm embrace.
>
Alarke nods to you.
>shrug
'sure
>You shrug.
>'sumun count?
You say, "Sure."
>
You ask, "Sumun count?"
>
Musema says, "5."

Alarke gestures while calling upon the lesser spirits for aid...
>
Alarke gestures.
A wall of force surrounds Alarke.
>
Musema says, "3."
>
Musema says, "2."
>
Musema says, "1."
>
Musema says, "Go."
>tackle Alarke
Alarke traces a sign while beseeching the spirits for empowerment...
>
Rarr joins Alarke's group.
>
You hurl yourself at Alarke and connect!
MS: +255 - MD: +154 + MAvA: -20 + d100: +93 == +174
Success!
You knock Alarke flat and jump to your feet. Smooth!

Roundtime: 7 sec.
>
Alarke says, "Ugh."
>warcry bellow alar
>
...wait 3 seconds.
>
warcry bellow alar

>You glare at Alarke and let out a nerve-shattering bellow!
Alarke is startled enough to lose initiative!

Roundtime: 3 sec.
>warcry growl alar
Rarr moans.
>
Your face contorts as you unleash a guttural, deep-throated growl at Alarke!
Alarke is unaffected!

Roundtime: 3 sec.
>
Alarke says, "Yay.."
>cman mblow alar
You swing a dragonfly etched vultite no-dachi at Alarke!
AS: +359 vs DS: +346 with AvD: +41 + d100 roll: +16 = +70
A clean miss.
Roundtime: 7 sec.
>
Rarr says, "I hate bellow."
>
Rarr giggles.
>'nice
You say, "Nice."
>warcry bellow alar
>
You glare at Alarke and let out a nerve-shattering bellow!
Alarke is startled enough to lose initiative!

Roundtime: 3 sec.
>warcry growl alar
Alarke says, "That seems really low.."
>
Your face contorts as you unleash a guttural, deep-throated growl at Alarke!
Alarke is overcome with a terrible rage!

Roundtime: 4 sec.
>pwn Alarke
*** PsiNet alias "pwn Alarke" became "kill Alarke"
You swing a dragonfly etched vultite no-dachi at Alarke!
AS: +359 vs DS: +334 with AvD: +41 + d100 roll: +99 = +165
... and hit for 71 points of damage!
Awful slash nearly decapitates Alarke!
That's one way to lose your head.

* Alarke drops dead at your feet!

The very powerful look leaves Alarke.
The white light leaves Alarke.
Alarke appears less confident.
The deep blue glow leaves Alarke.
The air calms down around Alarke.
The opalescent aura fades from around Alarke.
A white glow rushes away from Alarke.
A golden aura fades from Alarke.
The dim aura fades from around Alarke.
The light blue glow leaves Alarke.
The brilliant aura fades away from Alarke.
The wall of force disappears from around Alarke.
The powerful look leaves Alarke.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around Alarke.
Roundtime: 5 sec.
>'gah
Rarr gasps.
>
You say, "Gah."
>'a 99
The ghostly voice of Alarke says, "Nice."
>'dang
You say, "A 99."
>
Suddenly you have the strangest feeling that you are being watched.
The feeling fades as quickly as it came.
>
You say, "Dang."
>'im sorry
Alarke gives a ghostly chuckle.
>
Musema asks, "Cause you lying on the ground?"
>
You say, "Im sorry."
>
Rarr frowns.

They should make a dueling arena where I can duel people, but when you die they come back with RT, I hate the idea of givin people DR Points on accident.

DR points only come into effect if they rot, currently.

You shouldn't get DR points if you're killed on the boulder anyway.

You should get triple DR points for boulder death.

Nice roleplaying. Especially loved the "99".

Surely you see the irony in using the "kill" verb and then calling it an accident that you killed them.

From last night:

>You channel at an Illoke mystic.
You concentrate intently on an Illoke mystic, and a pulse of pearlescent energy ripples toward him!
CS: +292 - TD: +249 + CvA: +25 + d100: +79 == +147
Warding failed!
The Illoke mystic shudders with sporadic convulsions as pearlescent ripples envelop his body.
The Illoke mystic is crushed for 61 points of damage!
The Illoke mystic rumbles in agony as he teeters for a moment, then falls directly at Emberbrite!
In a futile attempt, Emberbrite leaps to dodge the massive falling creature! The mystic strikes her squarely, crushing Emberbrite beneath him and the ground!

... 40 points of damage!
Brain driven into neck by mammoth downswing!

* Emberbrite drops dead at your feet!

Oh, I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I could not figure out how you cast a killer spell at somebody, they died, and it was an accident.

I guess this is a lesson in what not to do. If you do not want somebody to die, it is probably a really good idea not to cast at them with any spell that could kill them...especially, if you have not checked to see that their defenses are in place.

Don't worry, you didn't accidentally kill someone. You made a conscious decision that their life was worth less than the 2-3 seconds it would add to your swing if you aimed.

Maybe you were hoping it would just be a stun, but it wasn't worth AIMing to make sure that you hit a non-lethal area.
