In an effort to...well, have more money, I'm thinking about whoring myself out for gem purification services. I am willing to sing to pretty much as many gems as you can bring me. I have a stupid amount of Manipulation lore; I don't stop until I cap or orb every gem.

What would people consider a fair price for this service to be?

Are people generally more interested in creating orbs or maxing gem value?

Any other feedback? Am I wasting my time, or is this a worthwhile service to try and sell?

I charge 33% of the increase in gem value.

I also sell the gembag with my 192 trading ranks so the person makes a substantial bit of money and gets a sack of orbs.

I've done, literally, thousands for Kaedra.

Solhaven's situation is an exception, I'm obviously not going to charge you guys for orbs :P

I also sell the gembag with my 192 trading ranks so the person makes a substantial bit of money and gets a sack of orbs.

I've done, literally, thousands for Kaedra.

33% seems decent. Do you bother somehow separating the orbs in that calculation? When Kaedra brings you gems, is it for the purpose of upping value, or finding/creating orb gems?

I have...3 ranks of Trading, I think? Enough to get my INF bonus to kick in, I believe. I wish I were capped already so I could work towards goals like 2x Trading =\

I'd also be on the lookout for people selling sacks of raw, high value gems (as I will be after the Sol storyline ends). You can make a tidy profit selling the orbs in a shop and the rest at the gemshop.

Yeah Bards are boring to level as well .. So the market for this service is pretty good lol

I've heard of people selling out their stock at up to 25k per (those might have been chrismed though, I can't remember. Worth teaming up with a cleric for in any case).

Yeah, I saw someone selling 100% chrisms on the net the other day for 25k. Coffie maybe?

I get the base value of the unsung bag. Then I sing to all the gems and get a new value (orbs and capped) and charge them 33% of the difference between the old and new value.

Kaedra wants orbs for chrisms.

I made several hundred chrism gems to sell in my old Illistim shop. By the end, I think I sold a little under a 100 in over two months. I still have over 200 100% exp retention chrism gems in stock on a mule character. Overall, I haven't really found it to be worth the effort unless it's sold from a shop or sold in bulk. Amunet sales are in low volume and just too slow to be worth the effort in Illistim. It might be worthwhile in the Landing though, or during an invasion crisis.

If anyone wants or needs a cleric to make them some 100% chrisims, send me a PM. Maybe we can work something out. And yeah Coffie has them for sale on FWI and Landing for 25k.

Mine will all be signified with a gem cutter though, no mistaking who these are from.

That's not a bad idea. I'll have to see if I can make a deal with a cleric...maybe free singing in exchange for free blessing.

Have you noticed when the next level of purification song is reached?

I seem to remember it was at around 54 ranks in Bard songs to make another safe song (relatively). Any of you pures ever put out a definative guide to when and what goes into Purification?

Hmm I should have looked into this when I had my fixstats still.
