I'm looking for some info too. My old phone literally broke in half yesterday (some LG flip top piece of shit), and I bought a new one today but I hate it so I'm gonna bring it back tomorrow and get a Blackberry.

It was a free upgrade at the time, but yeah they suck balls.

i wouldn't take an LG phone if the person selling to me was a hot female offering free blowjobs on fridays for taking the phone.

im trying to decide if I want to get that or a palm pre with my next sprint upgrade

problem is, blackberry's been around for awhile, so I assume that RIM has most of the bullshit worked out, whereas the pre is a new phone on a new, albeit Linux based, OS...

I have had 0 problems out of my phone so far. I tried a storm for like 2 days and found out I hate touch screens so the tour it was. It is the cream of the crop bberry-wise right now. Especially if you will be using it for buisness.

I'll never give up a Windows Mobile device. I like my Samsung Omnia.

i like the pre because I can multitask pretty easily.. i could be typing an email and switch over to another app, like google maps or reading a spreadsheet and then switch back to the email in a couple gestures..

all other phones only let one app operate at a time.. which makes the pre sweet if you're a "multitasker"

plus Synergy aggregates all data on a particular topic from different apps on your phone and with the web.. that's a pretty nice feature when dealing with business clients and needing to remember a lot about them in a short period of time.
it also aggregates all text messages, e-mails, etc.. and organizes them by contact..

That site reviews phones for all manufacturers/OSes. I've always found it to be pretty good (and they ususally have really good deals).

RIM settled their lawsuit, I believe, so no more problems.

Really? Maybe it was just device specific but at work we went with the Palm Treo 750s w/ windows mobile...nothing but problems with those things.

Sound would randomly cut out (they supposedly released an update for this, it still happened) phone would randomly die, etc. Same problem with we're talking like 8 phones.

The WM6 update came out and it fixed some of the issues but it would still just do random stupid crap all the time. And for some reason bluetooth headsets HATED those phones and would drop pairing and such constantly.

We switched over to iPhones for everyone when they came out (i work for a rural health clinic and a bunch of our doctors are mac addicts) and haven't looked back. I got one out of it, which it's nice to get a free iphone for "work", tee hee

I'd kill for a slide out keyboard on the god damn thing though.
