I plan on purchasing both of these -- I really just wanted the PSP for myself, but my wife would weep a sea of sorrow if I don't buy something equally impressive for her.

Could you guys list your favorite games you own? Personally, I'm looking to purchase RPG/SRPG's for the PSP and DS. Right now, despite not having a PSP yet, I already bought: Final Fantasy Tactics, Jeanne D'arc, and Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core.

My wife on the other hand loves 'puzzle' type games. Puzzle game wise on the PSP, I heard a game called "Lumines" is good. Any confirmation on that from someone on here? Any others SHE might like?

For the Nintendo DS -- I suppose any games will work. I really want to buy her those Crossword and Sudokou games, but I'm not sure which are the best to buy. HELP?

I also would play SRPG and RPG's on the Nintendo DS.

BASICALLY, I am curious as to what everyone else loves/currently has for both of these systems.

Note that I am buying the PSP 3000 bundle that comes with the game "Dissidia". I don't know if you can buy bundles for the Nintendo DS -- I'd have to look.

I haven't played the PSP version but FFT is incredible. You should pick up Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles as well. This includes the newer remade version of Rondo of Blood and also the original version and Symphony of the Night.

Haven't played it but God of War: Chains of Olympus is supposed to contain much pwnage.

New Super Mario Bros, Final Fantasy IV and Zelda: Phantom Hourglass are pretty solid too. Course those are the only DS games I own so take that for what it is.

For the DS:
Chrono Trigger was an amazing remake.
Final Fantasy 6 was remade as a GameBoy Advance game, which the DS Lite can play (but the DSi can not).
Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (turn based strategy/rpg)
Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift (turn based strategy/rpg)
The World Ends With You (I can't say enough good things about this game. It's amazing.)
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
Puzzle Quest (on pretty much every system) is a great amount of fun.

For the PSP:
Dungeons and Dragons. Uses the 3.5 rules, and I spent 6 hours just making my party.
Valkyrie Profile

The FFT games on the GBA and DS are horrible.

Yeah, I didn't like the Grimoire remakes. Didn't make much sense. The stories are horrible. However, the game play is great.

There's a second Professor Layton due out this month, too.

I'll back up The World Ends With You for the DS. Damn awesome.

Also, you may not have heard of a special little winner... Little Red Riding Hood's Zombie BBQ. Yeah, that's right. I just got it out of the bargain bin at my local GameStop, mostly because the concept sounded just freakin' awesome. It's a 2D scrolling bug hunt with complete touch screen controls.

I haven't finished it yet but.. well.. I'll never get tired of Little Red Riding Hood's fully packed little red dress. Rowr. And her main weapon is a machine gun. I mean, come on. She also occasionally gets lasers and flamethrowers.
