So the woman and I will be staying for about 4 days at a Hampton Inn in Cambridge. Any suggestions for things to do or places to eat from all you northerners?

If wrestling is in town, the Fleet Center is a decent arena. That's pretty much the extent of my Boston knowledge. Ah, one more thing: it sux.

You have a bunch of options, but it depends on your mood. If I were you I'd just head into Harvard Square. There are a ton of shops, restaurants, and other things to do there. There are also some other decent places to go in Cambridge - Temple Bar, B-Side, Cambridge Common, Lizard Lounge, etc.

Fanuel Hall has quite a few bars/restaurants too and is usually a pretty good time on the weekends. There are a bunch of shops over there too. It gets pretty jammed up there at night, but if you're in the mood it's pretty fun.

Or...you could go to the North End. There are a million and one places to eat there, small cafes, etc. Great place to go have dinner with your girlfriend...

Or you could just stay in bed for four days and order in.

Cambridge Side Galleria??? Hehe, I really don't hang out in Cambridge much, so what ever they said. Why the heck didn't you stay in Boston?

We have an Events Calendar at work for the Fleet center. I'll take a look at it tonight and see what's going on. Lots of things were highlighted in yellow for this month so let's see. Other than that, there's the same ol' stuff. Franklin Park Zoo, Faneuil Hall, Legal Seafood (you gotta have seafood if you're in New England, and that's one of the best seafood joints I've ever been to.)

I think Buzzy's is gone. :-(

I go to school in Cambridge, there are tons of places to go around there. Just head to Harvard Square on the T and walk around there. It's not too cold right now either.:)

We're heading out to Harvard square today, and will be here until Wednesday morning. If any of you GS people are REALLY close, and might be interested in meeting up. Send a U2U or post here on this thread and I'll see if I can con the (non-gamer) girlfriend into meeting up with some unknown stranger.

Southies are the best part of Boston. Well, their accent is.

Yes it is, well from what I remember. I stopped by there last summer/fall. Forgot.

It was lots of fun. Hit up Chinatown on the last night and got some pretty damn good food. Covered Harvard Square, Northeastern, Faneuil Square, Paul Revere's, the harbor, and a lot of good eating.

I was invited to go back to boston for spring break this year. But I opted not to. It is a fun place to go as long as you stay away from those crazy southies.

Hey, c'mon, be reasonable. Ain't nothing wrong with Southie.

That you couldn't solve with tac nukes that is.

But at least they're not as prejudiced as some. Folks in Southie just hate blacks. Now Charlestown, they hate everyone there.
