My condolences to both allereli and lmingrone. It seems to be a sucky week.
A friend of mine that has been battling cancer for a few years was told three months back that she had three new tumors. Two in her lungs and one of her spine. She wasn't given much time. She's been using homeopathic rememdies along with radiation and chemo. Yesterday they had to stop the chemo due to a blood clot found between her heart and her lungs. She wasn't expected to make it through the night but the blood thinners seem to be working. It's still going to be touchy for the next month. Like I said. Sucky week.

Thank you, I hope your friend pulls through.
Found out last night he ODed. He was only 23 and seemingly pulling his life back together and had so many plans for the future. I didn't know him for that long, but we worked and hung out and had some great conversations together.
He told people he was sick from an allergic reaction to a bee sting, which had caused his arm to swell. It sounded a little odd to me but I didn't want to believe otherwise, turns out it was likely from a bad needle jab. His last Facebook post was "is feeling better" about 12 hours before he died.

Man when it rains it fucking pours.
Every day is a better day for me in one way and worse in another.
Just reconnected to a whole group of friends I lost during Jen time all in a few days. Found out one has 3 degrees from MIT and works for NASA... and I thought he was a stupid ass back in the day.
My grandmother is in the hospital again. I hate my living situation but it's getting better once this job starts. I'm happy as hell people are helping out here so I can move on.
I'm sober and I feel more normal almost everyday.
My condolences to your friend. Seems like there is a lot of shitty things going on right now.

We'll all pull through somehow. I've been trying to connect with old college and high school friends myself.
And Sean, Keep Hope Alive.

Just got some news myself.
My Colonel hit the dirt finally. Do not fuck (not that it's possible any longer) with this man. I've seen him take down too ass fucks that assaulted him in about 6 seconds. Thank god for paramedics and bird Colonels.

I really didn't intend to bump this thread every week, but I was listening to Lithium on Sirius this morning like usual and Lit's "My Own Worst Enemy" was on. Toward the middle of the song I put another tab onto CNN and saw the drummer had died. I got the chills.

My friend mentioned earlier in this thread lost her fight with cancer. She survived the blood clot, but couldn't fight the tumor in her lung. I'll miss her but I am also relieved she doesn't have to suffer any longer. She couldn't walk by the end. The cancer had eaten away at her pelvis. She was brighter than usual the last few days. We even got her out for a drive on the weekend. I'm glad the last few days were better than the last month.
RIP Tam, you were the glue that held our little rag tag group together. Without you, we all will be a bit lost. Love you. I hope you were greeted with a shooter where-ever it is you are now.

My grandma in Malaysia. She not officially dead, but only because ending life support is illegal there. She had six kids, spoke seven languages, and lived in at least five different countries. She was also the last of the seven I considered grandparents.
