Bored so decided to see what people liked in terms of music.. if you were stranded on an island and by some weird thing you could only have 5-10 songs on your Ipod/Mp3 player .. what songs would you choose?

me.. for instance...

1. Metallica - Fade to Black
2. Tool - H
3. Pink Floyd - Dirty Woman
4. Alice in Chains - Would
5. Outkast - Player's Ball (yes.. old Outkast :) .. )
6. Lost Boyz - Renee
7. Pantera - Walk
8. Cage The Elephant - No Rest for the Wicked
9. Godsmack - Voodoo
10. Biggie - (dont laugh)Notorious Thugs ..

those are 10 songs I can play over and over and probably never get tired of..

I'm sure this thread wont get alot of responses but I was bored and was curious as to other peoples tastes .. and perhaps trying to find some new music to download.

I can only think of two artists on their, but not their specific songs right now: Pink Floyd, and Ani DiFranco.

You'd wanna stay mellow and conserve energy while waiting to be rescued, right?

I like the "for outdoor use only" warning.

That way when someone burns someone else's house down with it, the company can be like WELL WE TOLD YOU SO.

I don't like your tone...

I would want to bring my big inflatable music playlist. A large sheet of my favorite music... And a lot of eatable dried ration and fresh watery music...

The great thing about having a Godsmack song on your playlist is you can scribble out the name and voila! You're listening to any other Godsmack song!

I think I would bring 10 songs from Bruce Springsteen's concert at Hammersmith Odeon in 1975, because as I died from dehydration or heatstroke I could convince myself I was actually there, and that would be bitchin'.

I would add to Fire Water Burn:

We Didn't Start the Fire - Billy Joel
Firestarter - The Prodigy
I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire - Horace Heidt
Burn - The Cure

Great desert-island songs.

I would also want to watch the movie 'Office Space' on repeat, especially for Milton's Final Act.

The Lonely Island - Incredibad (LP)
David Gilmore - On an Island (LP)

/seriously though:
Sigur Ros, Tool, Rage, 2SJ, Wu-Tang, BB King, maybe some Sugarland to cover the country genre, and throw in some Radiohead and PF.
