A shan ranger utters a phrase of magic.
>prep 702
You trace an intricate sign that contorts in the air while forcefully invoking Mana Disruption...
Your spell is ready.
>channel at rang
You channel at a shan ranger.
CS: +999 - TD: +999 + CvA: +17 + d100: +4 == +115
Warding failed!
Target staggered by strong strike.
... 10 points of damage!
Light blow to left arm.
Cast Roundtime 3 Seconds.
Roundtime: 3 sec.
>
The blood red haze dissipates from around a shan ranger.
>prep 703
...wait 1 seconds.
>
A shan ranger nods at you!
For some reason, you feel extremely unlucky.

Dozens of long thorns suddenly grow out from the ground underneath your feet! Several of the thorns jab into you!
... hits for 30 points of damage!
... 35 points of damage!
Blow shatters knee and severs lower leg!
You fall screaming to the ground grasping your mangled left leg!
You are stunned for 8 rounds!
... hits for 39 points of damage!
... 35 points of damage!
Awesome shot shatters ribs and punctures lung!
You become solid again.
The deep blue glow leaves you.
The very powerful look leaves you.
The white light leaves you.
A dark shadow seems to detach itself from your body, swiftly dissipating into the air.
Like a faint wisp of a barely-remembered dream, your brief, enhanced comprehension of arcane mysteries slips away.
The misty halo fades from you.
The brilliant luminescence fades from around you.
You feel less confident than before.
The light blue glow leaves you.
The tingling sensation and sense of security leaves you.
The bright luminescence fades from around you.
The silvery luminescence fades from around you.
The air calms down around you.
The powerful look leaves you.

It seems you have died, my friend. Although you cannot do anything, you are keenly aware of what is going on around you...

Serously though . . the moment the haze wore off his prepped spell was cast . .
The instant . . im not kidding.

999-999=0

0 +17= 17

17+4 = 21

not 115. You sure you didn't just change the numbers?

Supposedly its completely random when the creature comes up to cast the spell. Always seemed to me that they if I let them set without stunning they would cast the second the spell wore off.

You are right of course . . but the main thing I was whinging about was that even If I had known presicely when it was going to wear off from around me, lets say , . . . . . I couldnt have casted any spell (prepped or not) that fast afterwards unless I was a fucking computer . . .
Basicly I should weep that my reactions are not as fast as something that knows when everything is going to happen before it does . . .
*end rant*
