Disappointments in life. Just got deferred from the McIntire School of Commerce.

90/120 deferred students could get admitted after this semester is over. Wish me luck.

I have confidence that you will get in after this semester, Edaarin. I know it is important to you, but please do not let this little delay get to you. Once you are there, you will show them what it is all about! :D

HarmNone has faith in you

Ed, you're a senior?

The thought that you're about to be unleashed on the world scares the holy fuck out of me.

No, I'm a second year. McIntire School (business school at UVa) has a pretty good undergraduate business program.

EDIT: It's an undergraduate program, I don't know if PSU's business school offers something similar. I'm also on a scholarship here, so I'm not too keen on giving that up to pay out of state tuition, heh.

Why on earth would he transfer to another unversity when he has a scholarship and has already completed two years of study?

Don't answer that... it's obvious you have no clue what you're talking about.

Do you go to College? If he's taken two years of electives and Gen Ed and is unable to get into his desired major at his school then he has two options

1) Change your major which isn't exactly appealing if you're set on becoming a major in Business

2) Switch to another school to do the major.

You realize the two years of classes he's taken don't get thrown out, but would definitly get transferred considering it's going from state school to another state school. (Well I'm not sure if it's considered a state school but it's not a private Catholic college or something along those lines.)

Not to mention he added the edit after my post so I didn't know he was on scholarship.

So Longshot, STFU, you're clueless.

Ed, if you get in to an out of state school, and are worried about tuition, I'll pay the cost. ;)

If you mean for graduate school, I'm taking you up on that. :)

Regardless of what happens in May, I'm finishing out my undergrad where I am right now.

Pah, I'm not a bank.

Although I think I could manage to make loans at ridiculously high interest rates. Muahahahahaha.

Note: If I am ever arrested for loan sharking: the above is satire, and cannot be used against me in a court of law. :-P

Well...ideally once I'm done with my undergrad, I'll go out for a few years to get some real work experience before applying to grad school. Assuming I stick with the business/economics field.

Technically I'm still a premed too, so there's always that if this whole numbers thing doesn't pan out...

Why the fuck aren't you on aim?

A lot of people transfer after two years from one college to another, even between universities. It's all about what you want/need.

I ran into an unexpected problem, heh. When I told my parents, they weren't exactly happy. My dad is mad I didn't ask him permission to apply, and my mom is ashamed that I'm not a premed anymore.

The coldness in my house is palpable.

Oriental parents can be like that. Make them each a cup of warm tea and a rice bowl. Should smooth things over.

Damn, Edaarin! I would think your parents would be delighted that you are getting the opportunity to study something you will enjoy, and that you make such an effort to do things well. I can think of nothing worse than a doctor who didn't want to be a doctor!:weird:

Anyhow, I am proud and happy for you. :)
