I'm assuming Steam operates the same way, right? That always annoyed me that I needed to use steam to play HL2 and CS:S. I wasn't even given an option to install either without Steam when I bought the Collector's Edition DVD. The downside to having lots of rep is that you can't always neg rep people when you'd like too, especially when you just want to be funny. Well, I guess you could, but I feel guilty slamming some new person down to two red boxes just because I wanted to be a smartass. :-/

Except it doesn't work like that. You might give an assload of positive rep in one go, but you don't give the same amount of negative rep points when you neg rep someone. It's scaled down quite a bit, how much exactly i'm not sure. But it's most definitely not the same.

We used to do that at my old house, except we just sat on the roof outside my window and not a deck. That ended once I had a bunch of shrooming people out there to watch the St. Patty's Day parade go down the street and my landlord found out, haha.

I swear though, that was the creepiest and the funnest day ever, combined.

LOL .. That sounds likes stuff me and my friends did during the "Christmas Lights Contests" around my old neighborhood. Everyone would insanely decorate their houses for "Best House On the Block" award and get in the newspaper.. was fucking nuts, but yeah.. SO much fun..

You are apparently correct. Neg repping someone only takes 50% of the points you would normally give with a pos rep. Interesting.
