For some reason I feel compelled to finish the alchemy and have been working on it. Close now with mastery in illusions, general and trinkets. 57 ranks down in potions. Spending the rest of the time in the Rift now. Catch up to you sooner or later.

Very true I dont have a chance of catching you! Some good advice is dont even try alchemy. Its a monumental waste right now.

I left a while ago, or at least stopped playing Hadiar for a good while before finally quitting. Sorcerer development had been at a standstill, and I didn't like the direction it was going anyway with all the bullshit materials and requirements and broohaha for such little payoff. 725 and 730 were shite. 740 was good, but not 40th level pure circle good. But I would have gladly given them all up for the old 719 and 702.

I played my ranger up to level 45ish as an archer voln-fu build, and had a blast, but even that wore thin after a while.

In any case, it wasn't solely the piss poor sorc development, but rather a game wide thing. The one big spell I was waiting for, 750, was no closer to completion. And I realized that while I was waiting for it, we'd gone through three different presidents, multiple wars, and I'd gone through high school, college, and grad school -- that maybe something wasn't quite right with Simu's development process. Whatley's statement when he was peddling Hero's Journey that Simu has always been about "less tedium, more fun" was the last straw.
