You ask the jeweler Tanzania to appraise the contents of a veniom-worked black silk gem pouch.
Tanzania takes the black silk gem pouch and inspects the contents carefully before saying, "I did find 72 gems that I'll give you 311569 silver for, if you want to sell." (orbs)

RAW GEMS

PURIFIED GEMS

And I did get to use one of those speical gem-chisel....

CHISELLED GEMS
I did find 496 gems that I'll give you 3494443 silver for, if you want to sell.

They changed the weight formula on em so they are lighter. Never would've been able to move around with them before.

Thats really not an answer...I don't know. I thought I was obcessive with 170ish orb gems in a bag.

I keep my orb gems on a locker character. Got 200 or so, but nothing to charge.

Do people sell orb gems to the gem shop? For shame!

For me I can't help it, I just collect the gems from hunts and keeps stuffs on mules until they can't hold anymore before taking a couple days to purify... The collecting process usually last 1-2 months depending on how often I play...

How many trains does a bard have to be to reliably purify gems. Maybe I should work on one. I am usually a happy pauper but youve all made me feel poor...:(

Im always afraid to blow em up myself, I sing 3 times and stop, anyone got a good formula for when to stop? lol

Read the messaging, there is a certain message that the gem will give before it blows up on the next sing.

Yeah, when it says something like "the structure of the gem changes somewhat", STOP.


I have the messaging in red highlights, myself. At 36 trains, my bard reaches that message 90% of the time, the other 10% it blows up before then.

Mint, why play one? Just ask around for one. Lots of bards'll purify for you for half the improvement.

Not always. I do purification quite often. The message comes up maybe 60% of the time.. sometimes more. But a lot of times, the gem will just explode spontaneously. The term you are thinking of, i believe, (im at school, so i cant open my notes) is:

You hear the gem crack loudly as it strains under the pressure.

Or something very close to that. Anyways, yeah, it doesnt appear every time, and that doesnt mean it will blow up for sure... I've gotten that message 3 times in a row before the gem blew up.

As for TheE's comment, yeah, that is a really nice place to stop singing :)

<---- Purifies gems. Its hard, long, and menial, but worth it if there are a lot of gems worth over 1k.

Success rate is based off mental lore manipulation which can explain the difference in noted percentiles.
