What. The. Fuck.

I just checked this DVD out from the library. Has anyone seen this piece of shit? I checked it out because it has Pitt and Clooney in it and it's labeled as a COMEDY.

I don't think I laughed out loud even once, although Pitt's character had me smirking with some of his lines. Unfortunately, his character is done half-way through the damn movie?!

But seriously, if anyone has seen this, what did you think? It was completely fucked up beyond anything I've ever seen movie wise before.

Last christmas I bought that movie for my ex, incidentally she bought me the same damn thing. I had the same reaction to it as you did, bogus movie except for Pitt's character.

I hated it the first time I watched it. I like after a couple of more viewings.

Hm, really? I thought it was more than odd, of course, and the whole thing was not very satisfying in the end. The characters were difficult to relate to and only a couple of them had any redeeming qualities. And yet, I still laughed. There were points that were very amusing to me. I might watch it again.

Yeah it was one of those that I really like after a couple of views. Kind of like Get Smart. I wateched in the theaters and hated it. I actually left before it was over. I've watched it a few times on the movie channels and it's hilarious.

That's pretty much how I felt. I liked it.

I couldn't name a great Pitt or Clooney film... they all pretty much suck.

I'm sure they will get an Oscar for their fantastic performances though...

You're retarded--Cool World, River Runs Through It, True Romance, Legends of the Fall, Seven, Twelve Monkeys, Sleepers, Fight Club, Snatch, Troy, Assassination of Jesse James. And Inglourious Basterds is going to whip ass.

NocturnalRob
07-25-2009, 10:26 AM
Oh, sorry. I forgot Clooney--From Dusk Til Dawn, O Brother Where Art Thou, Good Night, and Good Luck, Syriana, Michael Clayton, The Good German

Thank you for proving my point, though I will take back the word "All" and replace it with "Most".

And I will stick by my "you're retarded" stance.

LOL! WTF. Who is a good actor for you then, Shatner?

One, shut the fuck up and make me a sandwich, you filthy whore.
Two, a movie doesn't have to be "Oscar worthy" to be a good movie. It was entertaining and I liked it.
Three, WHERE'S MY FUCKING SANDWICH!?!?

Good actor?

I really like Tom Hanks in most of his roles.
I actually like Tom Cruise in movies.. as long as when he's promoting them he STFU about aliens and religion.
I also like Jack Nicholson, Robert DeNiro, Robert Downey Jr., Jim Carrey, Bruce Willis, Al Pacino, Russell Crowe, Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, Michael Douglas and Ryan Reynolds... off the top of my head.

StrayRogue

lol @ Ryan Reynolds.

lol @ Ryan Reynolds.

Yea.. I put him last for that reason. I don't know what it is about him.. the guy makes me laugh at pretty much anything he does. I really liked some old sitcom he was on.. something like 2 guys a girl and a pizza place or something like that. Van Wilder was hysterical to me. I liked him in whichever Blade movie he was in and hope Deadpool turns out as good as I think it can.

StrayRogue

Is it me or did he just play the same character in Blade 3 as he did in Van Wilder (plus muscles)?

Parkbandit

Then again.. I used to really like Eddie Murphy.. before his string of shit movies.

That's his role in almost everything... a quick witted smartass.

He would have been perfect for the role of Spiderman... well before he started working out. He used to be nerd like thin.

The good Samaritan phone call might be one of the funniest scenes ever. The rest of the movie is pretty funny. JD clearly has no taste.

I'm pretty sure that scene is either JUST above or tied with the Malkovich and Pitt face to face meeting in the car
