Recently in another post i did an ASSIST:

I just did an ASSIST over it. Overtraining in 400's does give you a bonus to 425. Tada Anitcor is right.

Well I got bored and adjusted my spells and so i had the same amount of 400's as my level( not over trained) and was amazed to find out my AS didnt drop with the loss of 2 spells in that circle. according to the spell it should have dropped 1 AS and it didnt.

I put those into the 500's since and it went up 1 As for them spells for the 513 bonus...

So im thinking, and according to my testing, that 425 and 430 BOTH dont give any bonus for over training. I Anticor you may want to try this as well one day when you hav a few hours to blow waiting for skills to adjust, same with you Surgla.....

Edited so i didnt sound so moronic ;)

Interesting, I guess from what your saying its safe to assume the most you are able to gain added bonuses from the spell is to stay 1xed in it. That is useful information, though I doubt I would ever overtrain in the circle as a sorcerer. (Yes, I know this is a wizzie folder)

Overtraining in Minor Elemental spell ranks does not yield additional bonus past the caster's level..... that wasnt there when we looked before.

there really isnt any need to overtrain in the 400's anyway. the 500 is just as good to put those extra spells into cause of 513.

It still raises the CS of the minor circle to be over trained but now I'm going to question myself as to overtraining just for that purpose.

At lvl 51 I have 64 minor elemental spell ranks. It makes for a 285 CS when casting 415 meaning I can do decently well with my CS against like aged critters. I'm now going to need to weigh the pro's and con's of keeping the CS vs having access to anything above 520 and 920 which I have currently. Thanks for the heads up.

didn't we just establish overtaining benefits neither 425 nor 513?

Back in March we did. I'm not sure that qualifies as "just" for all but the extremely slow witted ;)

Overtraining still raises CS it just doesn't provide the bonus to 425 or 430
