Categories of Gemstone People

After running into all kinds of freaks, wackos, psychos, and occasionally your normal person in Elanthia, I was able to catergorize Gemstone People into 4 groups. Almost every single person I've run into in game fits somehow into one of these catergories. They are as followed:

#1. A person has WAY too many issues out of Game, and they try to vent them in game. Classic examples of these people include Gracy, Talenia, and Klaive.

#2. A person is very introverted and insecure out of character. They're often picked on and outcasted. In Elanthia, they develop a somewhat powerful character, and they develop a god complex. The people that fall under this catergory are Morgynn, Azrael, and Sodrotordos.

#3. Their roleplay is so unique and so whacked that you can never hope to emulate them perfectly. 'They're one of god's prototypes never meant for mass production. Too weird to Live, too rare to die.' People in this catergory include Boomsplat, Plumbley, and Lyricaen. (Note, this is not a negative catergory)

#4. Your semi-normal person. (Note, there is no such thing as a 'normal' person who plays Gemstone.) Examples of this breed include Daina, Kilthal, and Valicar.

Sodrotordos isn't himself anymore, he's been sold to some guy that first played him as a Kai guy then went to the original plan.

He still acts like a happy gay man though.... it's really sad.

Sodrot was classic example of a God complex that's true. He was also a classic idiot you ever prove you wrong and he'd go for the implode. 5k for a deed 500k for a fine.... yeah you won that argument.

I don't know if I'd fit into any of those 4 either. I'd be either a 3 or 4 though I'm not sure which. I started the game out of boredom when I was stationed in the desert and a friend showed it to me, now it's still a big hobby for me when I've got the time.

Do people on this site seriously have trouble differenciating characters with players, or is that a now common Gemstone player occurance. I'm flattered people are so touched by what I could provide for them.

Im guessing I would be 1-2 mixed together along with a love of Roleplaying and fantasy. I will freely admit I use Gemstone as a source of escape from the blah that is my life.

I agree with Dighn there. GS is a nice escape, plus it allows me to indulge in Fantasy (a favoured Genre).

As for Sod's comments...I think his punk attitude speaks for itself. I only hope he's gone for good.

I ran into another #3 person today named Pelagio while I was working the ballista towers. Anyone else run into him? He was a good guy and his roleplay was whacked! He had me rolling laughing.
