Haven't seen a thread about the series. Anyone else watching it? It's like the nurse version of House, except realistic and not on Fox.

Been loving it so far, and with OnDemand, you can watch the next ep a week early.

Only issue so far is the eps are only 27 minutes long!

My only issue is that I find myself expecting quality along the lines of Dexter, Weeds and The Tudors.

And it doesn't really deliver.

Yeah, I think a part of that is the duration of each ep. Too much all packed into each show. But comparing to something like House, I like it loads better.

i agree about the duration. a show like that...probably should be an hour. maybe next season?

and house has been around for 5 or 6 years now. it's time to move on to greener pastures before they jump the shark.

I really like this show. I'm on the fence on how to feel about the character though, since she's a drugged up, affair-having, bitchy nurse but is really good at her job.

Season 4 hasn't started yet I thought? Season 3 is what was on last year and it comes out on DVD in August I think. Sometime around then.

I didn't know Season 4 had ended. I liked season 2 better than 3, I thought Jimmy Smits was too much.

Watching the last episode of season 1 now. I need to buy some fucking earplugs to sleep with, jesus fucking christ. My skin is gonna crawl until I do.

Anyhow I like this show. But other than the drugged-up bit, she's not really anything like House. Well and the fact that she's good at her job and isn't afraid to cut corners. But the one glaring difference is she actually gives a shit about her patients, and she isn't an asshole to everyone about everything, haha.

Yeah. OnDemand shows it a week ahead of time, so I had no clue. That sucks. Figured with 27 minute eps we would have like 24 eps a season!

All the Showtime shows only have like 12 episodes per season. Well the four I watch anyway (Weeds, Dexter, Californication, and now this one).

Yeah which is why we're being shorted since Nurse Jackie is such a short show (not sure how long Weeds runs but I know Dexter is an hour).

Ah well. It's the only show I watch now aside from True Blood, and that's ending tonight, so I'll be without shows for a while.

Yeah. I know Dexter and the Tudors was roughly an hour long per ep. I figured 24 with this.

I'm pretty sure tonight is the finale. Next Sunday is a repeat. Unless it's a repeat because of the holiday weekend and they're leaving the last episode for after that... which is a really dick move. :(
