empath archer viable in gs4??

Anyone have any opinions on an archer empath in GS4 as of right now as well as during the PHASE II spell circle changes? Keep in mind all of the new archery changes as well.

I was a halfling empath archer [ 34 trains hunting 10-15 levels above me ] in GS3 but there have been so many changes I'm really lost at this point. Doing my research on ranged weapons as I type this. Ever since I got back last week I been playing with runestaves and been loving the spell Bone Shatter. But, I recently acquired a sephir bow from Belahora [ THANKS ] and I don't want to break apart from it. Bone shatter hunting is boring and I always loved being an archer. But, the recent changes really stir me away from the thought. Especially the change to WoF...argh. Anyway if anyone has any opinions feel free to give your 2 cents.

Nakiro is a high level archer empath. I'd say its viable these days, though harder at the lower levels.

Eiadh is a mid level empath. I agree it can be done. If you were an archer before then you know most of what is true now. Not too much has changed really.

I've seen an empath archer kick ass. She was around 35th level.

Oh, and if you're looking to sell that bow, because of your complete and utter worthlessness....let me know.

(seriously though: wizard archers are the way to go...Haste, Strength, and then weapon firing an arrow before firing....DAMN. I'm thinking of reallocating my wizard to an archer, but I already have 1 ranger archer, 1 warrior archer, and like 3 or 4 rogue archers. And 2 cleric archers.)

It seemed like not only an acceptable use of mechanics, but a damn fine hunting technique. And, at 15 mana an arrow, not completely too easy for words.

With the spell changes you'll lose your two major AS upping spells soon.. just keep that in mind. It's hard to tell just how viable you'll be after Phase II because we don't know what the Mental Sphere will contain exactly. As far as right now, definitely viable.

Phase 2 won't effect empaths. As the mental spell lists, ergo savants, are being made RSN, Empaths will not be effected for atleast a year or two.

They're gonna have to give Empaths a reallocation attempt (or two) when that time comes, anyways. They can't expect us to plan for the future without knowing what it holds. And they can't expect us to ignore major spirit til mental sphere comes out.

By then, everyone will have their next fixskills. I doubt there will EVER be another reallocation period for any reason.
