Claidhmore or Greataxe

Looking for an old style claidh for a reasonable price or a new style mithril. Also, I am searching for a greataxe with higher than Heavy crit weighting. I have about 4-5 mil to spend and some other items to trade if need be.

You can get a new style mithril claid for 4-5m. A 4x HCW greataxe runs in the 6-9m range so be prepared to shell it out for something higher.

If asking is lunacy, how about getting? I've never sold a mithril claidhmore for less than 8 mil in the past year. I usually sell them for 10ish.

Hell, magical invar claids (the ones that can hit magical critters) can go for up to 5.

There's still a bunch of you folks that don't subscribe to the whole "when the value of silvers goes down, rare and useful items maintain their real value anyway" maxim. As the value of silvers drops, the price of my claidhmores rise, and oddly, people pay the price!

Rare or extremely useful gemstone items retain their objective value regardless of the price of silver. I sell them accordingly, am successful at it, and obviously think you should too (but if you want to sell your mithril claidhmore for 5 mil, that's fine with me. I've bought plenty of 5 mil claids over the past year to resell for 8. Keep em coming).

The overall playerbase is dropping and supplies of mithril claids is increasing. They aren't as rare as they used to be, hence 8 mil being ridiculous, and just because people will pay that much doesn't mean it should sell for that much.

Since I was saying the same thing last year when Gasoline was 4 bucks a gallon, I'll concede this point.

I don't deny that I price gouge.

Edit: Of course, you are also not likely considering the fact that I also cause false scarcity. At one point I owned 20 mithril claidhmores just to keep the price up.
