Here is a website to help you eat humane food. Very cool. Search your local grocery store for brands that dont torture animals to get the product. WSPCA is spamming this to all the members.

Eat human

Awesome. I hereby change this to the zombie/animal welfare thread.

Save the animals, eat people.

As long as they are hugging the cows I eat and calling them by names and not feeding them beef or warm milk we are cool.

My buddy brought back a large container of cajun dry rub from New Orleans when he went down for Mardis Gras this past year. Seriously grilling has never tasted so good.

I make a basting sauce out of A1 and Lea & Perrins thats to die for. And yes, I apply it when grilling my New York Strips.

Tell me something Gan. Down in Texas do you just walk into your backyard and slice open a cow to get a fresh steak? If not I am severely disappointed. Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, we invented the phrase "Just lop the horns off and run it by me" for a reason.

I don't go for humane food so much as I'm into local food. Cheaper, tastes better most of the time, and it helps the local economy.

For the most part the food is more humane (at least that I'm aware of) but how humane can you really be when you raise a cow knowing the whole time its destiny is to be a bunch of delicious steaks?

The only way veal could possibly be more delicious is if they made the calves beg for their lives for a full week before slaughtering them in front of their bovine families.

the whole process of begging might make for tougher meat which is against the point for veal... Make the bovine family beg to keep their offspring and everyone is happy.... except the animal rights activists.

I dunno, in some cultures they think the stress hormones actually makes the meat more tender. Though typically they are referring to puppy meat.

The Japanese certainly don't believe in that.

The part about stress hormones making the meat more tender. Kobe beef is my proof. The japanese pamper those cows out the ying yang, they say that contributes to the beefs tenderness and flavor.

Man...Google's GOTTA be the precursor to Skynet. And thinking about it like that, I'm totally ok with a Terminator-style future.

Ahh yeah.

I think it's China where they eat St. Bernards and they think by torturing the puppies to death, the stress hormones released makes the meat better.
