I'm undoubtedly going to buy a PSP in the near future, but I was curious in regard to this "Playstation Network".

Is it ONLY for the PS3, or can I download games onto my PSP?

I'm not sure how familiar some of you are with RPGs, but there were two absolutely enthralling RPGs that a lot of people overlooked on the PS1 -- Vandal Hearts and Vandal Hearts II. I own both of them and absolutely love them.

I see now that there is a new Vandal Hearts game in the works and due out in September, but it's ONLY on the Playstation Network. Do I have to buy a PS3 to download this, or can I download it on my PSP?

Works for both I believe.

Great games.

Indeed it does work for both. The Playstation Store also has quite a bit of overlooked PSP titles and add-ons for both, and any movies/television you grab can be ported over.

Enjoy!

Could one of you explain a bit how it works? How much does a game cost on average? How long does it take to download?

I don't have PSP yet, so I can't experiment.

Another question is about the graphics. Will it look the same on both the PSP and the PS3? I mean, will there be improvements if you played it on the PS3?

So, they just released FF7 on the playstation network -- does this mean I can now buy that for the PSP as well?

Any certain games you would recommend I get for the PSP (since you mentioned the overlooked ones)? I love tactical RPGs, or just RPGs in general.

Works for both, I'm not sure how else you get to the Playstation store without the ps3.

A ton of options for the PSP via the store though.

You basically connect your PSP via the USB on the front of your ps3. Follow instructions in the Playstation store. Demos, full games, expansions, all there.

Oh, shit. I don't have a PS3.

My friend does, though -- but he doesn't have the internet at his house due to his location in the middle of nowhere. Does that mean I am fucked?! BLOODY HELL.

Have you tried Sony's site? Where in the United States can you still not get internet? I couldn't even enjoy my ps3 if it wasn't online.

Which if any of you are, add me @ TreeIsLegend.

Poke around the store there and you'll be able to see everything they offer and the prices for it.

I've never tried to buy stuff directly off my PSP but they do have wifi and I'm fairly sure you can just jump online with it and buy the games you would want.

This. I'm 80% sure I remember some Sony rep saying you can download PSP stuff right off the site via USB + computer. I can't personally confirm that, but it's the only other outlet I can think of.

Was just gonna say, I bet you can do it from their site. I doubt Sony would be that stupid to only access it through their uber-expensive console.

Personally, the price drop coming up doesn't bother me one bit. I have the 80gb.
