Only premium mini-series thing like that I watch is Dexter. I should check out deadwood. I tried the tudors and rome but they kinda bored me.

Dexter is awesome. Also, I promise it's impossible to get bored with Deadwood.

Great show. Supposedly the writer left to do some other project that failed. There was talk of a movie that would put some closure but that went by the board too..Ian McShane was great in that show

I hated HBO for a long time for trashing the last couple seasons of OZ and The Sopranos. When they cancelled Rome and Deadwood, I hated them even more. I enjoy Dexter, but there is still nothing like a GOOD HBO series.

Rome was supposed to be only a single season. They greenlighted another season because it did so well but even the second season was supposed to be it.

I'd heard it was a surprise to the creator that HBO wasn't planning to renew for more seasons so he had to cram everything into season 2.

The best part of Deadwood is that Dan is played by the same guy that played the retarded brother in There's Something About Mary. Great show with a great cast.

Great show. Heard it was cancelled early because of a dispute between the director and the execs at HBO. Hard to imagine. His other show after that... John from Cincinnati, also got cut short. Too bad.
