This series just hit me like a 2x4.

After the first two episodes, I thought it was hilarious. After the third, I was utterly confused. After the fourth and fifth, I could've cared less about a second season. Then after the season finale, I immediately ran to my computer to google the pending season two announcements and youtube up some Kenny Powers.

Am I trying too hard to like the show, or did the writers somehow craft the perfect final twenty minutes? For one reason or another, I found some sort of emotional attachment to the show once the credits started to roll.

Totally agree. First episode of this season really disappointed, but the second was way better.
