I've been listening to these guys for the past, oh, 4 years and have to admit: they're a versatile band and each album showcases their ability to re-invent themselves in a new way yet still retain that core essence that makes them unique..

never had a chance to see them in concert, yet.

anyway, wondering what some of you out there think about this band

never heard them? here's a link to a song from one of their latest albums

Honestly, that sound sorta died in the 80's.

I thought so, too, when I first heard them, but they definitely have a popular following among the under 25 generation..

it's a matter of personal taste, to be sure.

I read the title to this thread and thought the Epilady was making a comeback.

I am WAY too old. And the Epilady was one of the most despicable torture devices ever invented.

Did you really just make a thread about them? They are so passé.

Ever heard of Komeda (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3y3hWuoFOg), StereoLab (http://www.220.ro/ubEm1xh3ym/Stereolab_Sudden_Stars) or Yeah Yeah Yeahs (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-lCL9EIhZ4)?

Nothing to go on about. I saw them support NIN once, and appear at a festival a couple of times. One of the girls can sing really well, the other can't hold a tune to save her life. It's all so synthesized as well, without much room for improv. So listening to it live is like hearing just a rubbish copy of the CD.

Really? You're saying Ladytron is passe and then you're recommending Stereolab? Way to hop on a 20 year old group there Captain Cutting-Edge.
