Couldn't find a direct answer to this first question:

Can you use a stat enhancer to bring a stat above 100?

If not, does anyone know if skinning uses the dexterity stat or the bonus? (I'm also an archer).

As a Ranger Archer, would dexterity be the stat I will want to use my badge to enhance? Or later on will I realize I should have chosen something else?

Yes, enhancers can bring a stat over 100.

Doesn't everything use the bonus?

Probably, but I don't really know.

Strength is good for archers too. Helps drop your rt.

Bonus is cheaper to recharge and should (generally) always be used.

edit: It might not make that much difference in the short term, but when you start stacking multiple enhancives it can become a chore to keep them all charged if you're not Adv Guild crazy.

I thought that was only with skills. Bonuses were like 10x cheaper to recharge than ranks. But stat and stat bonuses were comparable, e.g. a +2 STR stat would cost the same to recharge as a +1 STR bonus. If not identical then pretty close and depended on the specific stat. I could be wrong but that's what I remember from Droit's research.

I think most things use the bonus but like your max EXP pool uses the LOG and WIS stats. However, for any calculation they are interchangeable. If you have a 100 STR stat and 30 bonus, and you get a +6 STR stat enhancive, you will have a 106 STR stat and 33 bonus for all intents and purposes, the same as you would if you got a +3 STR bonus enhancive.

I just checked it again and you're right stat bonus is never more expensive than stat, but they're pretty close and identical for some stats. So yeah I guess there is no reason to do the stat and not the bonus, but it's way more glaring for skill ranks vs. skill bonus. Assuming you have more than 40 ranks of something, always get the skill bonus enhancive.

Also it's not the end of the world if you put something on your badge and then decide later you want something else. Getting a new badge is free. The only things you lose are the charges remaining from your old badge, since you have to spend points to charge up the new badge. That's why I never charge my AG badge more than once. If I want to change it to something else I haven't invested a lot of BPs charging it to the max.

Good advice, thanks DoctorUnne.

I noticed you said that the exp pool stats were LOG and WIS, did this recently change from LOG and DIS?

Droit did some good work on this...

Caps for enhancives are:

Base Stat: +40
Stat Bonus : +20
Skill Rank: +50
Skill Bonus: +50
Max Health/Mana/Stamina: +50
Max Spirit: +3
Health/Mana/Stamina Regen: +50
Spirit Regen: +3

Sorry it is DIS. I tried doing it from memory instead of spending the ten seconds to look it up myself and fucked up.
