I assume it means invasions, Back, with an accompanying storyline.

What Fallen said. I don't even know what's going on, but Tyrnian is one crazy mofo. That's all.

From what I heard second hand was that there has been a series of low level invasions and creatures wandering into other hunting grounds. Dirges/wolfshades/bone golems in the cemetary and shit like that. Last week there was an apparition who talked about claiming the city or something along those lines.

It was a couple of nights ago that I was involved with one but all it was was a bunch of weald level creatures wandering outside their normal area. I think the highest level thing was a grizzeled tree spirit.

Mychar suspects its because of the obelisk.

>>Who knows what's going on.

Ask around. Get involved. Easy enough to figure it out.

>>Ask the Shrew she has a whole theory to what is going on!

Do share! :-D I greatly enjoy hearing theories!

>>well it would be nice to have a high lv hunting zone on this side of the lake

Let me clarify this right now before it gets out of hand. There are no further plans at this time to add additional hunting areas to Ta'Vaalor. The next idea of a hunting ground in Ta'Vaalor is the Tower at Sorcerer's Isle, but Bernt knows far more about that than I do. I wouldn't expect any futher hunting this year, at the very least.

>>Anyway, Vaalor got a new hunting ground recently, then a new path to more hunting grounds. I doubt it's next up on the list for more hunting, and if it is, I suspect it'll be the Sorcerer's Isle tower.

Bingo.

I killed the haunting apparition, I win!

DEAD>symb of ret appar

Githros drops to his knees in utter despair! Overcome by the pure evil emanating from the haunting apparition, Githros's arms fall slack at his side and his eyes grow wide with an overwhelming look of fear!

You sense deep within your soul, a rage that burns upward and out your lips in a terrible scream of rage against the undead.

A powerful ball of energy bursts forth from your body toward a haunting apparition.
It is enveloped by blue bolts of energy.
... 25 points of damage!
Light shock to chest. That stings!

Was just scripting back to town and I saw a ton of yellow on the trail where there are normally no critters. Scrolled up to see if it was a Grim war party and saw...

[Fearling Pass, Forest Trail]
Patches of moonlight cut through the woods as the trees begin to thin out, though apparently more through careful lumbering than natural devastation. The weald mouth widens at this point, and continues south as the trail winds its way out of the forest. You also see a warrior shade, a bog wight, a bog wight, a warrior shade, a warrior shade, a warrior shade, a bog spectre, a bog wight, a bog spectre, a bog wight, a bog spectre and a narrow path leading into the foothills to the southwest.

[Fearling Pass, Cobbled Road]
Young maples flourish amid some more stately trees and much of the landscape gives way to brush, as the dirt trail merges with a limestone-cobbled road. A well-kept sign, trimmed to a point that directs traffic southeast, stands along one side of this maintained pass. You also see a warrior shade, a bog wight, a bog wight, a bog spectre, a warrior shade, a bog spectre, a warrior shade, a bog wight and a slender footpath that trails off into the brush.

[Fearling Pass, Cobbled Road]
The surrounding wold is dotted with plenty of trees, mostly in clusters or small stands no where near as thick as the dark forest to the northwest. Gently rolling hills are divided by a wide winding road, making it difficult to glimpse much of a view. From time to time as the pass shifts, a bridge and what appears to be an island can be seen towards the south. You also see a bog spectre, a bog wight, a bog wight, a warrior shade, a bog spectre, a warrior shade, a warrior shade and a grassy trail leading between the hills to the southwest.

[Fearling Pass, Cobbled Road]
Here at the bank of the Mistydeep River stands a large limestone bridge that arches the flowing dark expanse. A gatehouse sits off to one side of the approach, next to a cantilevered portcullis ready to seal off the town at first threat. From this gateway, the walls of Ta'Vaalor glisten brightly in the moonlight, the occasional tower campanile poking above. The river circles the fortified town like a giant moat, and promises a treacherous crossing for those who make an attempt at unassisted points. You also see a bog wight, a bog spectre, a bog wight, a bog spectre, a bog spectre and a warrior shade.

...guess I'll be taking the back roads to go hunting next time, since those are all more than double my guy's level :D

Overheard in VC while some people were debating going to a meeting to discuss how to handle the undead:

Raianna says, "It will likely be well so and so said ye and so and so said no and then we thought maybe and that was it."

I feel as though my time was saved! ;)

Hey is this normal Ta'Vaalor stuff or is it related to all the questy things happening?

>
A lone officer briskly strides into the area. Tall and slender, he moves with an easy confidence that radiates with every step, shiny black boots snapping into the ground. He pauses once, head lowering briefly in deference to a female of obvious nobility, and their eyes lock a moment before he continues.

Dateline 7/25/2009: TA'VAALOR'S UNDEAD PROBLEM: NO MORE!

The latest reports from the city of Ta'Vaalor suggest that the aelotoi scholar Alvarad has headed up a huge effort to find the solution to the frequent attacks on the city recently.

Corath hel'Saeari Vaalor has confirmed that a large hoard of undead have been slaughtered, and rather oddly, the apparition that has been plaguing the town was sucked into a gem and destroyed.

Military leaders of Ta'Vaalor are said to be heaving a sigh of relief as the city returns to its peaceful state.

Rumors persist that King Tyrnian will honor the scholar in some way for his bravery and defense of the city.
