Thats definitely a standard price. Most people when selling perfect weapons basically sell it if it was at 4x since taking it there isnt a problem. Its actually cheaper than normal because that is the price point of steel, not mithril.

If you're swinging from the open there is really no advantage to using a mace over a morning star unless your AGIDEX sucks or the target is puncture immune and you aim.

The crush-only damage from maces has a higher likelihood of doing a death crit to the head from the open than the crush/puncture damage of a morning star, though.

if the morning star punctures. Part of the difference is made up in the DF as well.
