I love love the Daily Show. I've tried to watch Colbert but have never finished a single episode. This one was different.
I was in tears during the basic training part. I have always wanted to see Colbert get his ass kicked though now that I'm putting words to it I'm not sure why...
I saved this one on the Tivo. I'm going to make preserves out of it and serve it with some crackers later.

I like both shows, but I definitely enjoy the Colbert Report way more. The Daily Show has become way more serious in the past few years than it originally was when Stewart took over; which definitely isn't a bad thing, on the contrary, I like where it's been heading. But I definitely watch these shows to laugh, and Colbert fucking kills me.
I too really enjoyed the Basic Training skit {I've been through it, so I can relate and enjoy the irony}. I've also found it stupidly amusing how he is always getting stuff named after him.

I saw it in Iraq and it was pretty cool. I'm not the biggest fan of him, I wish it had been Jon Stewart, I guess I like the more serious stuff, but it was a good way to end my deployment.
I got the entire Charlie Daniels Band's and the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders autographs for my brother while they were over there, but you couldn't get near to Colbert during the show I went too. I think it was the first or second one he did.
I am so glad to be back where there is indoor plumbing.

Revalos- welcome back!
No shit. Welcome back. Maybe we should have another DC drink-a-thon in your honor.

Some of my buddies saw Charlie Daniels in March I think. They are in between Cobb and Warhorse right now. I dont envy those guys at all. Warhorse is shit. Artists who tour Iraq should get some kind of civilian ribbon.

They were at Speicher when I saw CDB, Colbert was in Baghdad and it happened to correspond to when I when I was outprocessing. I got to fly to Warhorse twice on the same CH-47 flight because of stupid cargo requirements one time. I even got to take a crap at the legendary "metal school chair with a hole" bathroom at Warhorse too.
And yes, we are doing a drink a thon in DC July once I am done with my debriefing in North Carolina and I do a vacation. Even though my investments haven't done that well, they'll do well enough for a round on me.

Have you ever been called a cracker, though? I used to play basketball at a court in Philly, I would usually see the same guys there, and some times they would say stuff like "Good shot, Bread." And it took me like a week to realize they were calling my Bread because of white bread!
Good times.

You guys have no clue what it's like to have a celeb visit. Yes they may be retarded but it's better than powdered eggs.
