So I wonder where this new super-surprise announcement is now? As if this game wasn't dead for the past 3 years, now it's semi-official.

They really need to just give it up and make it official. Even if they somehow do get the funding for it and finish it, it won't be able to compete.

I'm starting to get the feeling the iphone development was their big surprise :(

Does this mean GS gets Cirakin back, or whatever his/her name was?

Why would they need funding? It's not like they need to pay for marketing, since Simu does no advertising whatsoever. They never had any chance of getting more than a few thousand subscriptions anyway.

Just buy a server, run the game on it, and start charging. Isn't the Hero Engine supposed to streamline development?

Be nice if they would stop pretending the HJ was anything other then a front for Simu to make even more money exploiting a volunteer work force.

Recently, Simutronics had a large lay-off of fulltime staff. This included artists, HJ programmers, and HE programmers. Hero's Journey was a casualty of this reduction in staff and has since been put into hibernation.

Steph Shaver, the lead designer, recently left Simutronics.

Looks like HJ is dead ;(

Steph Shaver

Would be a disgrace to her name if she's sporting a big muff.
