In an awe inspiring display of combat mastery, a gnomish thief engages you in a furious dance macabre, spiralling into a blur of strikes and ripostes!
A gnomish thief swings a short sword at you!
AS: +468 vs DS: +309 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +93 = +277
... and hits for 10 points of damage!
Strike to left hand breaks a fingernail!

A gnomish thief swings a short sword at you!
AS: +468 vs DS: +309 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +67 = +251
... and hits for 9 points of damage!
Broken finger on your left hand!

Broken finger on your left hand!

A gnomish thief swings a short sword at you!
AS: +468 vs DS: +309 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +17 = +201
... and hits for 5 points of damage!
Glancing blow to your back.
That could have been worse.

A gnomish thief swings a short sword at you!
AS: +468 vs DS: +309 with AvD: +25 + d100 roll: +21 = +205
... and hits for 5 points of damage!
Close shave!
You take a quick step back.

The people on OOC informed me that a 5 hit focused mstrike requires 135 ranks of MoC, which would require a rogue to be level 133. Unless the sentry that is my top foe was a higher level than that...

Critters are also max-trained in all weapon classes

This is a mechanic that has chapped my ass. I use vibe chant on creature it doesn't explode the weapon, so it drops the polearm weapon. I vanquish this creature then a different one comes in that is wielding a blunt, a very weak one at that a whip. This second creature snatches up the polearm, and proceeds to skewer my character perfectly. Instant death. Where when swinging the whip an rolling a 100 would no where do the damage a lance based pole would. Talk about unhappy.

At the same time, it would be pretty easy to exploit if they only had one weapon skill.

Gotta love killing a creature in a warcamp that has a claid or a drake weapon, then right when you search or it decays another one picks up the weapon. Those claids hurt when they are swung at you.

Another one of the "CRITTURZ DONT PLAY BY R RULEZ K?" features.

Sort of like when Grim casters were pulling spells from every major circle, or paladins using elemental spells and the like.

None of which bothers me nearly as much as the fact that 150% of all Grimswarm are archers :(

But on topic...I imagine bandits are pseudo-custom like that. They get toys from multiple professions.

I used to have fun with those tasks when the AvG first came out. They didn't follow you back then, so I would ewave, walk away, tell the dude to chill and go back to kill them. Or just leave them there and let them slaughter lesser characters. It was always kinda funny to be on the way back and see someone dead with your bandits. :)

The game is full of "hybrids"

Magus are wizard/ranger hybrids, and the most obvious and notable that I can think of. From the critters' perspective, goddamn. What's with those sorcerers coming out buffed with 508, 513, 913. Or empaths using 916 imbeds, or whatever.

As for weapons... um, you can grab the weapon from the dead critter BEFORE you loot them. If it's that much of a problem, that's one solution. When I hurl weapons and they stick, and the critter dies, I'll snag the weapon off their body before I loot them so I don't have to beat down another critter to get it back if they happen to choose to pick it up.

Gibreficul, useless once again.
