View Full Version : perfect warsword....?

I have a perfect warsword that's presently 4x, but I'm considering taking it to 7x, just trying to gauge whether it's worth my time or not, I saw a 4x perfect maul or something sell for an absurd amount a bit ago, so if someone's gonna pay me more than a 4x perfect is worth and enchant it themselves that only saves me time. So, long story short, I'm interested in knowing the price of a 4x perfect warsword and a 7x perfect warsword, roughly. Thanks.

There is a 4x perfect warsword in a playershop right now that is 3.5 mil, and has been there for about 3 weeks, maybe a month with no sale. I'd be interested in a perfect warsword myself, but am not in a hurry to pick one up and would probably look to spend less than 3.5 mil personally.
Not sure if that's a lot of help, but it doesn't seem like there's a big market for them.

certainly helps some, I guess I'm in no hurry to sell it necessarily either, I still want to know what a 7x would sell for, I don't even know what a standard 7x weapon sells for let alone a perfect one, if it's not much more I might just sell it at 4x and take something else to 7x, but since it took me 2 years to learn how to make it and another 4 months to make it I want to maximize my profit.

I think Mateius bought the last 7x perfect warsword for 11 mil. But that was for the CCF run so expect less than that. I'd say low end 7x is 8 mil and 12 mil for high end (good base). Warsword is not considered a good base though it is faster for mstriking (THW). If your not going to use it for yourself I'd recommend selling it now and making a perfect/superior maul and enchanting that up.

Seems like the going rate on enchanting is 2mil (5x), 4mil (6x), and 6mil (7x) based on the item starting at 4x. I paid 10 for my 7x perfect and thought it was a fair price. I didnt have to wait the months and with a perfect weapon selling at 2-3mil i couldve spent like 7 months and 15mil on said item.
I think swami's 8-12mil range is a fair appraisal. Normally I wouldnt have spent 10mil on it but I wanted it for ccf and paid it. And it turned out better than I expected. =p

I can't make mauls, they're blunt right?
but I probably might as well try to sell it I guess, I'm not sure...
someone go appraise my runestaff :)

Mauls are Two handed weapons THW. If your OHE make a perfect handaxe then.

I bought a 7x perfect handaxe for 11.4 million. Again, right before CCF though.

Swami's enchanting costs are pretty good, I charge a bit more, some a bit less, but pretty much a baseline.
4x - 7x costs more cause frankly, thats a good long time to spend on one project, but I do them if I got nothing for myself to do. Though after CCF, that won't be an issue, cause I am out of a lot of stuff for myself, sheesh.
Broadswords/warswords get a bad rap, they are a good base btw. A bit faster than a longsword/fal, but they do puncture, but puncture immune critters slowly going the way of the dodo.

They don't puncture when used one-handed. Apparently they do when used two-handed.

Strangely enough, I've been using a bastard sword since about train 40, and I've never had a critter pop up immune before. They ambush faster than most two-handers, and work about as good as a falchion for one-handers... Not entirely sure why they get a bad rep.

>cman prec punct
Longsword set to deliver puncture damage.
>glance
You glance down to see a black serrated steel longsword inset with a murky black deathstone in your right hand and a razor-sharp gleaming silver longsword with a blue dreamstone hilt in your left hand.
You swing a black serrated steel longsword at a kiramon worker!
AS: +576 vs DS: +323 with AvD: +37 + d100 roll: +1 = +291
... and hit for 48 points of damage!
Minor puncture to the chest.
** Your serrated steel longsword releases a spray of acid! **
... 20 points of damage!
The kiramon worker avoids the worst of the attack but still gets a singed forearm.
You swing a razor-sharp silver longsword at a kiramon worker!
AS: +565 vs DS: +323 with AvD: +37 + d100 roll: +22 = +301
... and hit for 58 points of damage!
Well aimed shot, punctures calf!
The kiramon worker is stunned!
Roundtime: 5 sec.
What creatures are immune to puncture? I thought kiramon were.

Try golems. Pretty sure they are immune to puncture. Stone creatures I believe are immune.

I know golems and the stone based critters are, and something in the rift is I just can't think of it (or was).

Kiramon used to be immune, now just resistant.
Just as the amazing GS staff working on updating critters to the BCS, immune should go the way of the dodo.
Broadswords really are a fine weapon, not like its a bola.
