Returning a lost kid to town and was nearly there when I ran up on a grimswarm. Took a few swings at him and then this:
All of a sudden, a Grimswarm giant fighter rolls hard to his side, and then leaps to his feet!
You swing a perfect mithril mattock at a Grimswarm giant fighter!
AS: +395 vs DS: +164 with AvD: +44 + d100 roll: +38 = +313
... and hit for 79 points of damage!
Right kneecap smashed into pulp.
A Grimswarm giant fighter falls to the ground grasping his mangled right leg!
Roundtime: 5 sec.

A blinding bolt of searing fire streaks down from the walls of Ta'Illistim and strikes a Grimswarm giant fighter! ... 25 points of damage!
Minor burns to neck. Looks uncomfortable.
We were four or five rooms from the gate, dunno if the proximity to the city had anything to do with it or not. I've just never seen it before.
