an antique engraved silver compass
a sleek black compass case

>open comp
You squeeze the engraved silver compass gently as you hold it in the palm of your hand. Cleverly hidden springs pull the interior latch aside and the lid of the compass pops open soundlessly.
>rub comp
You rub the face of the engraved silver compass with your thumb, causing the needle to bounce around erratically.
>close comp
You apply slight pressure to the cover of your engraved silver compass and it folds shut with a satisfying click.
