Um, City of Heroes is still pretty fun. Sort of an off beat and nice change of pace occasionally. Having said that, I will cancel (again) and start up Champions Online when it comes out.

I used to play Champions table top...lots of fun. Of course, that is what drew me to Warhammer Online too: my experience playing it table top (high elven army still rocks when I get to play).

Of course, RoleMaster is the only reason I started playing Gemstone in 1995.

No it's not. It has horrible class imbalances that was a large reason to the mass exodus of people looking at it as the next DAoC (which admittedly wasn't always balanced, but at least keep sieges were fun...which can't be said about WAR)

I've kept up on the game hoping for them to address the issues since release, and they not only didn't fix them they made it worse.

I was so excited about the game during development. I was one of the first wave of public beta testers...and even up through release i held out hope they would fix it. I finally gave up when they announced the patch notes for the first class review (1.1) :\

edit to add: This is largely subjective, yes, but was the sentiment shared by everyone i spoke to in game and on the forums, and is reinforced by the pitiful 50% retention rate after release. The game has improved, and I still hope one day it will get to where it should have been at release.

also, Tsin's accomplishments in the game are really nothing special. Much like his main accomplishment in gemstone (FAME) they are almost entirely based on time invested, not skill or difficulty. :)

Then we ran off and defended a keep against a Destruction Midgard Horde.

I hadn't heard this drama before, but he certainly knew Elanthia and some of the personalities. I would tend to put it in the "probably true" category since it fits Tsin's overall modus operandi.

I'm not sure how accurate that is. According to Tsin, the character was given to him, which is questionable on its own, but I've spelled up who was supposedly the original Tsin plenty of times before, playing a character named Osol.

It might have been Tsin MA'ing it to not look like a homo for stealing the character for all I know, but who knows.

Seriously though, the so called "accomplishments" of Tsins character...(fame/tattoo's?/body alters/tp's???) etc really never took much skill, just time and patience.

I left GS back in 98/99 for everquest. I was apart of a guild who was the first to defeat many of the Kunark dragons and similar raid-boss type events in Velious. A guy in my guild was the first one to complete the "Dain ring" quest and several people within it were within the first couple people across all of the servers to have thier "epic" items. Some of you may or may not know what i'm talking about, but it doesn't matter really.

Stuff like that i'd call an accomplishment, whereas you actually figured out something that was unknown. Mobilizing 40-50 people in a chat room to develop a previously unknown strategy to defeat a particular boss, figured out a riddle which opened up a previously unknown area....etc

Power hunting swarming monsters with a haste zombie and a whole gang of characters to speed the process of healing/spelling/unloading is not really an accomplishment or benchmark. And basically asking/insinuating that you are due respect or some sort of "status" because of it is rediculous to say the least.
