Found this not long ago and have decided to sell it. This is the info given to me by the bard who sang it.

a bent orase runestaff

You sense a faint aura of magic around the orase runestaff. From the pitch of the vibration you determine that the purpose of the runestaff is as some type of weapon. Also, it seems to have some sort of enhancive properties.

The harmonics generated tell you that the runestaff helps defend the one who wields it.

The runestaff resonates with your voice, indicating that it enhances its owner in the following ways:
It provides a bonus of 3 to Elemental Lore - Air Ranks.
This enhancement may not be used by adventurers who have not trained 21 times.
The runestaff looks to have more than your average giantman could count charges remaining.

You sense that the orase runestaff will persist after its last enhancive charge has been expended.

It has a bonus of +20 from a normal runestaff, and the way it vibrates in tune with your voice tells you that it requires skill in twohanded weapons to use effectively.

*The harmonics generated tell you that the runestaff helps defend the one who wields it.* - I'm told this is 1x defender.

EDIT: Edited after testing. This is 1x Defender, not 2.

Have you tested the defender bonus against a regular 4x runestaff? A +10 defender would be pretty huge.

Just swing at someone holding a regular 4x staff and then your staff and compare the DS. The difference is the defender bonus.

ok, I'll test it. Give me a few.

EDIT:

AS: +39 vs DS: +516 with AvD: +4 + d100 roll: +56 = -417
A clean miss.
Roundtime: 3 sec.

XXXXXX has accepted your offer and is now holding a bent orase runestaff.

No, you want to have the person you are swinging at holding the runestaff. You are comparing the DS of a person holding this runestaff to their DS when holding a regular 4x runestaff.

The person I was swinging at was holding the two different staffs:)

Sorry for my misleading response on the officials, Odysia. Guess I just haven't sung to a defender in awhile O.o

Nice staff. I'd consider buying it if I hadn't just bought another enhancive stick for my only active pure =\
